Yeah it's a full retail release.
Here is a link for you ... $50 isn't a bad price for this game

$50?
This was on my buy used list but now I'm thinking about picking it up close to release. I've only played 2 tps and that was lost planet and uncharted.
Wb multiplayer?

That was a fantastic trailer. The game is also looking pretty tempting and since each "level" focuses on a particular genre/game they can really make it very polished. I'm actually keeping this on my radar.

So is this going to end up as the Scary Movie of video games?
Could be fun if done right...

¿Que? Where are you people getting that Scary Movie was not a good parody? That movie was freaking hilarious! You kidding me?

Well, if there were only one Scary Movie I'd almost side with you. But there have been friggin four. We have that to blame for Meet the Spartans, Disaster Movie, Date Movie, and all that crap.

Get over yourself, Anticrawl.
Surely you realize the difference between a parody, and something that solely exists to blatantly make fun of something by pointing out its flaws, cliches, and inconsistencies.
Films like Spaceballs and High Anxiety are great parodies.
Movies like Scary Movie are funny, yes, but ultimately shallow and empty.
I think even you can understand me not expecting this game to be as great as the previously mentioned parodies.

In my opinion this is what the next Duke Nukem game should be. Should be a parody of all games. But we all know where Duke Nukem stands...

these gaming jokes were funny in 1996. Its almost like a video game parody made for people who have never actually played video games.

Or for people who have played plenty o games and realize just how cheesy this is. That's not to say cheesy can't be good.

The brief glimpse of the the sexually ambiguous sorcerer did give me a little laugh though. There is one glimmer of hope.

Its not impossible for a parody game to be good though. Take a look at Conker's Bad Fur Day... imagine a Conker's Bad Fur Day sequel that does what this tries to do? I would definitely buy that!

I said it before but I'll say it again: This game looks like the game Duke Nukem Forever should have been.
I like the humor behind the game, I'm still on the fence about how fun it might be as I haven't really seen any solid gameplay. I'm definitely keeping an eye on it.

This really has the potential to be good. And its not even the worry of bad gameplay that has me worried.
The game has been portrayed really funny in all the trailers, but is that really going to translate well to a good overall game? Or is it going to pull a Tropic Thunder and have the trailers be really good, but the whole thing be meh? (If you liked Tropic Thunder, well ok. :) )

Will Arnett as a video game bad ass? Awesome!
NPH also awesome.
Looks like it's going to be a Duke Nukem.
Looks like a rental.

Well, this is now officially on my radar. I hope they can carry this level of humor throughout the entire game. Even if it plays like shit, I'll still play through it if it's funny until the end.
But I might buy it used later on this year if it does play like shit. I got other priorities y'know?

This is the perfect game for an inmate who just got out of jail & missed the new technical eras of gaming LOL. Damn that would be insane. I'd say this will be one of the best modern day classics for years to come. Along with the new PoP ;)

Took me a while to make the connection, but now that I look at it, it reminds me of TimeSplitters 3 (I can only that for the third iteration since I didn't play the two others). For those who didn't play it, you basically traveled at different times and locations and each "period" gave you a typical shooter gameplay: WWII shooter, Zombie shooter, Bond-like shooter, Futuristic shooter, etc. And it had the "let's be funny" side too, although I'm not sure I'd call that a comedy.

I know Will Arnett and NPH are in it, and thats so full of awesome, but if the game isn't fun to play, then I am not going to play it.

I don't see why everyone says the game doesn't look fun. The gunplay looks just like Uncharted. They could have cut and pasted the engine. The reason uncharted was so good was because of the story and the presentation. The gameplay wasn't bad, but it wasn't life changing. This looks just as fun, only instead of being a pseudo-serious game, it's a total parody topped with Duke Nukem knock-off sauce.
Unfortunately for them, the release is within 3 weeks of Killzone and Resident Evil, so the game probably won't sell very well. I might not even get it until later, and it's pretty high on my list.

I feel that since my website is about game parodies I am obliged to buy this.
Joystiq, you should show the trailer with that sexually ambiguous JRPG boss. It's gold!
