Thanks joystiq for profiling this game. Seriously, it's kept me entertained for about 2 weeks now in my reporting class.

This just in, journalism hopeful OMGOMG to find himself disillusioned and unemployed after college for not paying attention, or studying hard enough. Mightily as he will try, he will also not successfully find employment as a tester with a videogame company. Instead, he will end up testing iPhone games developed by teenagers with too much time on their hands, working for nickels, and living in a box down by the river.

This game very uncasual. I find managing 4 blobs and repeating the same actions for each one more frustrating than fun.

Rolando would be much better on the PSP using shoulder buttons. See LocoRoco and LocoRoco2 for proof. And Justin, just because you are guilty of tipping your PSP doesn't mean everyone else is.

I disagree. The tilt function performs its purpose better in Rolando than the shoulder buttons in Loco Roco.

However, the lack of buttons hampers the rest of the experience. Having to flick the screen to jump too often gets confused with deselecting your character, reliquishing control at the mose inopportune moments.

Overall, Loco Roco is a much better game and Rolando is little more than a clone. That said, it's only what? 7 bucks.. I'd say it's worth a download for those (numerous) times you have your iphone/pod around and not your PSP.
