If running and jumping across an expansive cityscape is something that you haven't been able to do on the Xbox 360, PS3, or PC in Mirror's Edge (we're pretending you're broke and not lousy with judgment), then you can at least play the next best thing: Mirror's Edge 2D.
We've known about the game for quite some time now, but we're glad to inform you of its shiny new "beta" label and lovely new site. It doesn't stop there, either, as there's new levels, time trials, and a rush mode to enjoy.

It's fun but unplayable for me. Every time I'd press up or down the game would respond properly, but my browser would also scroll up or down with it. Sometimes obscuring the screen and throwing off my timing. I'm hoping they fix that, or like... release it onto XBLA/PSN. I had enough fun with it that I'd chunk down a fiver on it if they could get it done. I'm fine with the flash though, just wish I could make it work better with my browser.

Seriously! Does 'less-than-3' not work?
Fine, I'll do it the lame way.
I love Brad Borne.

If the game doesn't load, try this:

Cool, just from the screenshot that looks more playable than the original.

Ah man I was playing this non stop a few months ago, it's such a good 2D rendition of ME.
Here's to hoping they port it to every virtual store and handheld (hopefully DS) under the sun.
