sf3:3S and SF2:ww are VERY different so i dont know how you could feel they're the same. Yes some simliar characters but the same tactics and tricks wont work on both games. Fireball traps are totally useless in 3S compared to SF2 for example. Dismissing SF3 based on beating the computer once isn't the best way to judge the game since the computer doesn't know any of the tricks and strats that most human players do. You'll never experience any of the depth of the game if you only play the computer.

I didn't say sf3 & ww were the same, I meant it as, I get the urge to play Street Fighter, & just play it once through the arcade, . I saw that a lot of SF3's roster were pretty much mash ups of other move sets.. and the final boss took a while because it kept regenerating.. I gave it back because I felt I wouldn't play it again, I was bound to have another game or 2 on the go..

I'd obviously try all the characters, as I always do, if the true skill system felt like it worked I might actually try online play more often, I wouldn't call losing every fight to the same character 'depth'

This game is full of AWESOME! The gameplay is DEEP!!! It's just a very polished high quality title, worth the $60 IMO.

SFIV > All other fighters

I'm still sad they dissed SF3.

And someone will say "this is a prequel to SF3", but that was a marketing decision. I miss Makoto and Dudley!!!

SFIV brings back the memories but makes in HD. The look and feel is more violent. I got the game on Friday and it sucked up about 2~3 hours each day so far - still getting my butt kicked by other online gamers on the psn. Overall would give this game a 4 out of 5 - it's missing a tournament mode as well as the last boss character Seth is crap - looks cheesy as well as insanely difficult (with cheap shots) for me even on just medium - took me over an hour to get past all of the crap super combos and teleports that takes half your vitality if you get hit.

I picked up this game last Wednesday. I've put in 11 hours so far and I'm about ready to deem it as my favorite fighting game over Tekken 5. I'd like to call myself a seasoned fighting game fan (I've owned Tekken 2, 3, 5, 5:Dark Ressurection; Soul Calibur 1, 2, 4; Virtua Fighter 3tb, 4, 5; MvC2; MK2, MK3 Ultimate; SF3:3rd Strike, Aniversary Collection, SSFIITHDR) and I think this will stand as my favorite fighting game for quite some time.

I would have bought it, but I can't stand the idea of paying 60 bucks for something I'm not the least bit good at....so I'll just stick to HD remix until I stop failing and then get it.

Whats with all the Arcade Sticks being sold out or 3X the price?

I can't find any arcade sticks not even a crappy one.

Joystiq should do a story on that.

I for one would like to know if Capcom will ever address the rather unfortunate ommission of a proper multiplayer mode that would allow a 'quarter up' system or at the very least a friends only room where you can play vs with people and take on the winner and the like. The ability to invite a friend is great but allowing several people to have ye ol' SF tourneys would be great. I remember spending nights just hammering away at friends until the ultimate fighter was declared.

So how about it Capcom? A mulitplayer vs mode? 1 on 1, winner takes on challenger?

I broke down and got this game today. A lot of my friends on LIVE were playing in, and RL friend called me and told me if I don't get it I deserve to die and be discovered by a beautiful lady with shit in my pants.

After playing 15 or 20 ranked matches or so and multiples more of the player matches I'm perplexed. I beat the game (with ryu, and hes the only character I'm really playing online with, at least ranked matches, go ahead and downvote me for it, I'm sorry) on medium after getting stomped by Sagat and Seth for like 2 hours.

My battle points after it was all said and done were 0. Does the arcade sticks really make that much of a difference. It doesn't seem like it would make that much of a difference.

In the training mode, I'm unable to pull off the third or fourth tier of moves, even for ryu. Is my timing wrong? I suck so bad, and really am not use to being bad at games. Example: I think it was a simple heavy kick followed by a focus attack for a combo, and I couldn't do the one single combo after 15 minutes of trying. I played from 2 till midnight, and still couldn't get this basic shit. I checked online forums, and shoryuken.com, etc etc, and can't find out what I'm doing wrong.

I love this game, but can't tolerate sucking so fucking bad. A game hasn't given me anxiety like this since prolly Punchout's Sandman and then when I occasionally got lucky, Tyson himself.

Someone please help me. Granted I need to give it more than ten hours straight of play time, but I need help figuring out the timing or something. My Gamertag is (ironically) KronicWInner. I'm not a stoner, just used to win at games, Chronically. If anyone pities my poor shoddy fighting game pathetic-ness, send me a request with a message of you're attentions (I turn down random seeming requests).

If the help is helpful, I'll send you mothers money through paypal. Maybe. Christ, what have I come to here? Just thought I'd post comment before this post disappears into the bl(ack)ogging hole .

I want to be a world champion goddammit. And don't give me any shit about no shortcuts. I can smoke my friend who rented and has been playing for three days. I... aww fuck it. This game is driving me to suicidal thoughts. Or liquor. I'm going to bed, beaten
