50 Cent wants to make a Saints Row movie, or die tryin'

Rapper and game character 50 Cent has just revealed an interest in creating a Saint's Row movie, in a conference call about 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand. According to our man on the scene, Mr. Cent told the assembled journalists, "My relationship with THQ, you'll see Saint's Row. I'm optioning the rights for that right now."

50, we'll save you some time, in case you can't figure out how to make a sandbox game like Saint's Row into a movie -- just make it a musical and hire Panic's Cabel Sasser to write the songs. We're already daydreaming about buying tickets to that.

I don't think he was talking about the game, he probably meant 50 Cent and his venture into the video game/movie industry. A Saint's Row movie, however, sounds great.

sully the story line?? who cares, I meant in terms of 50 gettin into EVERYTHING. dude already backed Vitamin water until it was bought for like 4 billion making him an estimated 200 Million he also has money in quite a few other things as well. not to mention I think he owns his Masters, meaning he gets paid EVERYTIME some plays his shit on the radio

dude he aint MAKE Vitamin water, therefore thats not entrepreneurship, he simply got stock in it because he figured it would be the next big thing, and damn if it wasnt doing good saleswise before all the mess in the economy now. Coke bought it and he got a cut simple as that. I'm not upset he is making money. Hell I get it, he gots money, money he gots. but just because you do have money dont mean you need to be doin all kinds of dumb shit with it. hell if I had HIS money I would be buying up houses right now and Stock in bank of America and Citigroup. sure the shit is a few dollars a share now but just 2 months ago it was well over $50, and we all know its going back up. If he wanna make money hows about he do it that way

After seeing the CG trailer at the VGA Awards, I was intrigued enough to pick up the Divine Comedy. About halfway through now, and the trailer (and complementary interview at IGN) completely shits on the story. The guy interviewed said that yes, there is little to NO actual violence so they decided to 'spice things up'. The trailer to me seemed like a medieval European Ninja Gaiden; even the weapon is a carbon copy of the Scythe weapon from NG(2?) (sorry don't know its name).

I am still interested in the premise; I just wish they didn't decide to take a 'creative license' from the book by making it what it was never meant to be.
