I agree, I didn't enjoy MGS4 alone, this didn't look much better.

I think the production values on that trailer are higher than the game budget itself.

First thing I thought. Great trailer.. gameplay reminds me of some boss battles on SNES games, especially the explosions

Can you even walk around in that game, lol. man nice way to tarnish MGS4. Wut were they thinkn. Guess Kojima really doesn't like XBOX, by making an MGS4 this crappy for such an inferior game system and not a MGS4 for XBOX is jus an insult to XB fans.

Ugh. That's not anything remotely close to Metal Gear Acid. I own an iPhone and will not buy what ever the hell that is.

It'd probably be great if it was an actual light gun game.

I support this idea. Add a sensor bar to snap on to the iPhone, and than add an oversized rifle peripheral for use to play the game, and a big windy telephone type cord that'll connect the rifle to the iPhone's charger port.

Well, thats cool. Only I don't see any Tactics. Or espionage--Or even action for that matter. Although that power-point of MGS4 screenshots toward the end was pretty cool.

It looks like one of those crappy 3D cell phone games (in terms of gameplay: no depth, and very repetitive) but with a little better graphics. Doesn't look much better than those free flash games you can play on the internet.

Need to see more to judge, the video only had a couple of seconds of gameplay. I'm not sure if it was reported here but I heard of some shooter games coming for the Iphone/Touch which have a lot more depth than this.

You just know Kojima is only doing this for free iPhones for his entire dev team.

16GB ones too, since the game probably takes up a lot of space.

Hmm... a 50 second trailer.

That's about 20 times shorter than most Metal Gear Sold trailer.

The real question that needs answering now is will this come out on the Xbox360?

Now that the exclusivity period is over, I'm gonna go with November 2009. It'd easily sell an additional one million copy on the 360, if not more. That's approximately a cool $50,000,000 in revenue for relatively little additional development. Konami's not gonna turn away that money, especially in this economy.

@ Mics

I don't think you understand how much work is involved in porting a game to any platform, even one that is as "easy to program for" as the Xbox 360. Forget about the number of discs it will take, the royalty fees Microsoft charges standard and per disc, and the fact that even after all of that is said and done, you still have to pay to get it on store shelves.

But yeah, I lol'd at pavel's joke.

Seriously how can anyone consider the Iphone a serious game handheld when 2 of the biggest names in games both look like shitty knock off's...MSG and Silent Hill are being raped to try and make them touch based. There has to be a better way to implement controls while using that touch screen. And MSG on this platform would be better served in 2.5D with an isometric type view. This trailer did nothing to make me want that game.

Did you really just call Silent Hill (a series that's been shitty for years) one of the biggest names in gaming? Really?

Btw people consider the iphone a serious platform because of all the good games on it, whether this ends up being one of them or not doesn't negate all the other worthwhile games.

You're kidding right? It's obviously made up of prerendered images. It's not top notch, MGS4 was top notch, this game is just getting to pick at the remains.

I still want it though...

I might pay five bucks for it seeing as how I'm a Metal Gear fanboy, but it really looks, sadly, to be worth no more than that.
