Capcom loves money, plans more Monster Hunter for PSP
17
Shock! Capcom's Keiji Inafune discussed the future of the Monster Hunter series in the latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu (translation via IGN). Inafune confirms PSP will be receiving yet another Monster Hunter game in the future, but failed to elaborate any further. It may be called Monster Hunter 3rd or it may be something entirely new. Regardless, he tells fans not to expect it any time soon -- the Monster Hunter Wii team has to finish its work, no?

nah, if you got one on the ps3, it won't sell as well because it's on a console. The reason is because, japanese people aren't into consoles, instead, handhelds. That's why monster hunter 2nd G on psp sold 3 million and if there ever was a monster hunter ps3, it would only sell around a million.

One more reason which is a guess, is that the online coop for MH is free.
You can use a tool called Kai or use Adhoc Party and play online coop with MH2G right now for free.
But for Wii (MH3), looks like online play would be charged like MH Frontier.
And I think thats a big difference, since most users who play MH are junior high or high school students.

it's a bit tiresome(not sure if that's the right word...) to hear this when we haven't even got Monster Hunter Unite yet. Oh well, this should release in america and Uk around early 2010. Hope they have online co-op!!!

cant see i really care about this news atm...
played mhf2 until i got too bored with it; then waited for mhfu, and still waiting...
given how long its taking them to localize mhp2g, no point in getting excited anytime soon unless you live in japan...

Sure sure, new monster hunter but really can we still expect the same gaming quality?
Not all games survive. Right now they're just going for the $$$ but let's hope they actuely make something usefull :) (yes I'm a fan of MH)

It may never make it to the PS3. Tri- was intended for it, but defaulted to the Wii.

I love monster hunter but yeah, it does get hard cause the game has crippling effects to slow you down. For instance, when a monster sees you, your normal run is replaced with an upright sprint. You cover less distance with this changed run and your stamina drains quicker. But the crappiest part is that if you are in the new run mode, it rebounds to the slower sprint if you're running towards a monster. No rocket science here. They don't want you to get to a fallen beast fast. Try it if you haven't noticed it.
But I love the game.
But I love the game.
