What drives you to make the "first" post. I have never understood it. Is the brief attention you get from people like me and others who just vote you down? I honestly would like to know.

When you come across a blog post that is totally void of comments, why do you choose "first" instead of something witty or poignant. This is your chance to ensure that any casual reader will most likely read your comment before getting bored and stopping after the third comment and moving to the next article. The first comment slot pulls an audience the size of the article author himself....and yet you blow it on the cliche and hated "first" knowing full well it will yield nothing.

A painter does not respond to a blank canvas by punching a hole through it. Why would you throw up like that with "first"? Seriously, I am curious as to why it makes sense. I have never understood it as I am rarely this close on the comment chain to someone who pulled that comment. I would enjoy a response....buuut I suspect I myself have already broken at the two paragraph rule of blog comments and lost you along with 90% of the other readers you have driven to your reply field...

those who do not know "bullish" is a business term which means people are a bit hopeful or believe for something to do well. Negative for this is bearish.

Well I do agree that id hasn't really been on top of things lately, but I think that the shooter market is just oversaturated. I wish they'd make another commander keen or jill of the jungle.

He's relevant. When he talks, people still listen. As a company though, i don't think they've adapted to the market the same way others have. It still seems they're releasing one big title every 3 years, where now many are trying to get them out within 2, or at least release multiple games more frequently. I'm still eager to hear more about Rage, and I hope Doom 4 turns out much better than 3 did.

Did anybody play Doom RPG or Wolfenstein RPG? I really wanted to play Doom RPG, but never got the chance. I wish they'd port that to the App Store. Should I be excited for Wolf RPG? I am. Tell me if I shouldn't be, please..
