Too bad the rubberband AI killed this game for me.

Rubberband AI should be illegal.

Also, the driving physics in this game felt off for me anyway.

I don't see why the rubberband AI gets such a bad rap. In some cases it actually makes the game EASIER because the AI does worse when you're doing badly. For example, I can win a race against a Lambo driving a VW Golf. You can win any race in any car if you drive well.

Thats all well and good unless you're the guy driving the lambo and you race a perfect race except one slight little mistake at the end and the vw golf comes whipping by you.

I liked the AI. I'm only a casual racing fan and hate these other games with AI so good, it feels like I have to be a pro driver just to win the first race. I picked this game up and was having fun within minutes.

That's what its all about for me - fun - not realism.

Because it blatantly breaks the immersion of the game. If I work my ass off to create a monster of a vehicle by winning races, my reward should be a faster car that SHOULD be able to blow away the competition.

Every time I look behind myself in this game, the cars are just sitting there waiting for you to make a mistake....it just looks stupid.

That has not been my experience. On several races, I've been so far ahead that my opponents don't even show up on my RADAR. Maybe you're not doing it right?

I'm with Max, but I guess it's just a matter of taste. I'm not into the simulator type racers. Like, I know there's no way I'll get into GT5. I like the arcadey racers, and have loved MC since the first one.

And, yes, if you crash close to the end of a race, chances are you're going to lose. So...don't crash. I mean, the challenge isn't to build a supercar. The challenge is to drive whatever car you have WELL.

Hey, but that's just me.

Nice. I do not have several Trophies on this game, and this will bring me back to LA.

As far as keeping up with Burnout goes... to me, this game is much better (then Burnout) due to LA actually having people walking in it and real world cars.

I like the "alive" city in MCLA, but I think the cars in Burnout are more interesting and cool, and there's a greater variety. Burnout definitely wins in the cars department for me.

No car customizations made Burnout a no-buy for me. That's half the fun right there.

I haven't touched this game for a couple months, but it's great and I plan to get back to it. The paid pack sounds like it has a ton of content, I'll probably go for that. I wonder if Burnout's island will be the same size, 33% more city for free is insane!

Man, Midnight Club is so fun. I don't think this game gets enough credit for how good it is. It's really cool they are putting out the free DLC for it.

I agree. I've been a fan since the first game. I guess that's why the rubberband AI doesn't bother me.

Enlarging the city by 1/3 is a lot. I'm assuming that since I've already paid Karol the cool million, that the DLC cars and customizations will be free in-game. I wonder if this will unlock hydraulics without having to complete the tasks from the social club.

So the game jumps to 70 dollars to have about 43 cars and midnight club 3 still has 112 for 15 dollars.

The "rubber band AI" was patched by rockstar, and its much better for it.

I think MCLA is actually a very good game, perfect balance of arcadeness with decent handling and a good cockpit view.

As a "proper" driving game, it blows Burnout out of the water.

Im happy for the upcoming DLC, sounds like some awesome additions,, however I really really would love to see a few other cars added to the game in the future. In particular, a few I had in mind:
-Toyota Mk IV Supra
-Porsche Twin Turbo 997 GT2
-Subaru WRX STi
-Ferrari F40
-At least one 98-02 GM F-Body car (Camaro/Firebird/TA)
-R35 Skyline

That's all I can think of off the top of my head, I'm sure there are a few others... I would love to have the above cars in the game, would be amazing... :D

I know its just a wishlist, and it definitely would be cool but Rockstar don't do Ferrari, Porsche or Subaru. I think they did RUF in MC3, which is essentially a Porsche, but you definitely won't see those three brands in the game. However, the lack of Toyotas is odd, and an R35 Skyline would be awesome. Imagine that after you've worked on it in the garage for a while!
