Squint! Yep, that's definitely Dante's Inferno

Perhaps not divine, but we're seeing obvious comedy in these first Dante's Inferno assets, released today by EA. Of course, Redwood Shores no doubt wants us to take its adaptation of the 14th century Italian epic quite seriously, it being concerned with Hell and all. Still, we're not seeing these images as portraying anything other than another God of War -- a cross-wielding, Christian "God of War" (see what we mean after the break ... ). Not that the concept is a bad one, given it's being anointed by the very smooth hands of the Dead Space developers. Just don't expect us to sit here quietly, holding in our giggles.
