It's about time! I've been jonesing for this album since it was announced months ago. The SRV cover tracks in the Guitar Hero series were among my all time faves, and now we get the real deal. Tuesday can't get here fast enough.

It is quite unfortunate that more people don't appreciate his music. I happen to think he is the best guitarist that has ever lived. I know I'll probably get heat from Hendrix and Clapton fans. I will say that Hendrix influenced SRV, but I think SRV honed in his skills more so than Hendrix. In my opinion Clapton is a good guitarist, but I think his lyrics are what really draw people to him.

I don't think he's the best that's ever lived, but he's certainly my favorite. He's pretty much built his own genre of blues with percussive rhythm. He is dearly missed.

Joystiq hires people that achieve comedic and writing brilliance.

Kotaku just hires people who type fast

you can all hate, but what he said is true. I like joystiq, but fuck man, they're not the only game in town and it's not like their brand of gaming related humor is unique. If you're not putting the effort out there to get the news out when you get it, wtf are you doing here? Like many others I sent this in hours ago, shortly after it was leaked on SH and an hour or more before the 'zine got sent out. I specifically said "use this now or sit around and wait for everyone else to post it and follow suit". If I'm putting more effort in getting them the news than they are to actually do something with it, that's fucked up.

I read Joystiq because I like the commentators more than Kotaku (still read it though).

You could have subscribed to the news letter and checked your E-mail very second. Then you would have beat Kotaku in know what was coming out.

Idiot.

I'm with Idiot, what does it do for you to know 3 hours sooner? Does this mean you get to download it 3 hours sooner? Do you get some early bird discount we're not aware of? If so, stop being an ass and share with us how to get this discount I just made up.

Yeah, not exactly the song choice I'm looking for but a step in the right direction. How about Cold Shot, Tight Rope, Riviera Paradise, etc...

Yet another reason the PSN (and by extension, the PS3) is better than Xbox Live (and by extension the 360).

I like the MS points better because I but points cards rather than using a credit card. I have yet to see any PSN cards where I live but I've bought 275 RB songs with my Fake money.

There are PSN cards, but they are not available in Canada which sucks because we got rid of our credit cards a while back. But for those who are afraid to use cc's on PSN, you can try the Much Music prepaid credit card. It works well, only it takes a couple days for money to appear on it, PSN recognizes it. That way you can use Paypal to transfer funds to it.

Eh, to be fair, I sent this in to Joystiq the moment I received my email from the RockBand Zine... which was about 3-4 hours ago. So they're just slow sometimes.

Awesome news, though!

Well I guess the post count on Rock Band is going to drop by 20% since every discussion on DLC has been spammed by "Where is SRV?" posts.

Might actually find out if the DLC is worth purchasing.

Except I just realised this probably isn't for Wii. Oh, joy.

I am super-excited for this DLC for that exact reason. Now, each week when people complain about HMX's song choice, they won't be able to whine about a lack of SRV that week...

... they will just whine about the 1000 other bands that have been rumored to become RockBanded.
