Second round of LOTR: Conquest DLC will cost you

After releasing the first batch of content for free, EA will be going the paid route and deliver a second set of Lord of the Rings: Conquest DLC this Thursday, February 26, to the XBLM and PSN for 800

and $10, respectively.

The "precious" Conquest downloadable content will add three additional characters (including the freakish Gothmog), two new maps and two fancy arenas. But for a game that didn't fair too well in reviews, is $10 worth of downloadable content all that exciting? We doubt Elijah 'would' approve.

I didn't like the game very much. It's a shame though, this series would make for some awesome games.

I prefer the trilogy over the Star Wars one.

I still have this game wrapped sitting in my collection in fear that I will hate it. Unfortunately I pre-ordered it with hope since I both love Battlefront and LOTR. But this game got tank scores.

Perhaps the $10 is a way to try and recover some of the money they didn't get from people who didn't buy because of low scores? Normally that price is pretty par, but not for a subpar reviewed game.

Can they release a download that actually makes the game fun?

This game was pretty much a DOA turd. Too bad they didn't go back to the style of The Two Towers and Return of the King. Those were some fun titles.

A little bit lower than meh, but it didn't all-out suck and destroy the fabric of reality as many would like you to believe.
It's like a cheap PS2 game you rent out cuz you feel like playing that one little game in the game that makes it worth the rent for the Friday night party.
The game you play for like 30 minutes, then move onto the next one. ...yeah.

Because anything lower than "exceptional" now is considered a bad game. Well maybe not quite but anything lower than "good" anyway.

Its all game rankings. Damn metacritic is distorting the reality and too many are becoming brainwashed by it!

I actually didnt mind the game at all. Playing as Single player sucks but when playing the campaign in co-op its actually pretty fun. Its not the best as the old LOTR games but at least worth playing for me.

I'd like to know what makes them think any DLC for this game is justified for $10. It's a decent game I guess, but seriously?

Screw the stupid reviews Lord of the Rings Conquest was awesome. I sure didn't give them authority to rate games anyway.

I'm totally gonna buy this (maybe when I buy the epilouge for PoP) and I'm excited to play as the beautiful orc seen above.

The biggest surprise to the DLC is Arwen...
Y'know why? ...she's actually REALLY effective. o_O
