As much as I loved this game (Go PLA!!!!! China NEEDS overlord tanks!), who on earth has this game still installed? And how on Earth do you find the bloody install disc again if you don't?

...Yes, I'm a very messy individual!

That's if I can find the game case, let alone the game disc!

"who on earth has this game still installed?"

/Raises Hand slowly

I play it still just for the mob chanting, "AK-47's for Everyone!" It cheers me up.

Haha! "AK-47's for Everyone!" still makes me smile!

I'm trying to track down the first decade set in local stores just so I can play Generals again.

I have it installed on my XP32 partition. It doesn't play nice on 64 bit.

Funny you mention it, as I just dusted off my copies of Generals and Zero Hour last weekend and have been playing them all week. Perfect timing, evidently.

You, sir, are a much more dedicated man than I. I love game too, but it's been overshadowed by CoH (+ expansion), C&C: RA3 and DOW II by recent times.

I would have to say Red Alert 2 wins that fight, Generals was by far the most disapointing one to me.

Ha! Awesome! I loved C&C Generals back in the day. I will definitely be checking this out! Pretty cool for EA to do this.

I have it installed because I own the first decade collection.

I loved this game some of the things the terrorists said were halarious, and probably wouldn't fly today. Love it!!

Mere kilobytes? I take it there are no voiceovers tucked away specifically for the mission?

(If I seem like I don't know what I'm talking about, well, I actually never played C&C:G)

The voice overs intended for this mission were probably put in one of the GLA missions that made it on the actual disc and so you already have it on your hard drive.

The USA and China never fight in the game. It's them fighting the GLA(terrorists).

Great game! ... I still play it often too! Too bad in Zero Hour, the Laser General was way too powerful over the other generals (those laser turrets were way too cheap and powerful!)

Too bad the game doesn't have widescreen resolution support ....
