The general consensus is that this movie makes the 1994 Van Damme flick seem like a good movie. Hilarious. While I can't say Van Damme's flick was good, it was watchable, in a laughable sort of way.

I'll probably still see this new movie because I think Kristin Kreuk is so hot.

I don't understand the " is hot, therefore I will see the movie" logic. You're on the Internet. There are tens of thousands of naked women waiting to be seen by your eyes. Why not get your fill of hot women through that? I mean, if you're going to do something purely out of a pornographic mindset, why not... you know... watch porn?

@ Charlie_Six
Well, I like her as an actress, too. And what makes you think I have a pornographic mindset? I think YOU'RE the one with a one-track mind...

but her performance in this is supposed to be terrible.

Its like saying... well, I don't usually like to be tortured to death, but the torturer is hot, so....

I agree with CharlieSix. I wouldn't see Tomb Raider for Angelina Jolie, or He's Not That Into You for Scarlett Johanson and Jennifer Aniston, or Gothika/Catwoman for Halle Berry, etc. Hot actress =/= movie worth seeing.

With ticket prices being as high as they are, I'm saving my money for Tetris: The Movie.

I knew this movie would suck. What the hell is wrong with the people that make these movies? All they need is some crazy characters, lots of fighting, a showering woman scene, and a training montage with 90's pop playing in the backround. End it with a 30 minute bose fight.

Plot: Ryu and Ken team up to enter a martial arts tournament to stop an evil villian. Put Guile and Chun Li in there too.

Climax: All the other fighters are defeated, Ken is put near death by evil villian.

Ending: Ryu hadokens villian.

= better movie.

Or just make the whole movie about Ken & Ryu kicking ass with shoryuken's and hadokens, and youll get at least a 30% on metacritic.

I think I'm going to try to get a group of friends to see this, just so we can mock it.

Kotaku did a spoiler filled live blog of the film and from what was said on the blog, the movie sounds bad especially how they rewritten Bision and given him an absurd origin.

Here is the URL for those who wants to read the blog:

So with this in mind, Capcom still want to push Lost Planet as the next big thing? If this is any indicator then LP is going to be a disaster, a $200million grand disaster. It really is short sighted to be ploughing great amounts of capital in this financial climate. The logic of this whole film venture baffles me. There is a need to diversify but, aside from the fanbois, nobody would have wanted to see a Chun Li film, let alone LP.

The $5 that was used to produce this shambolic film could have been better spent promoting Okami Wii a little better, or Apollo Justice.

Reviews sound spot on, the movie looks absolutely terrible as I predicted. I think I may have to go see it just for the laughs.

Yes, I agree, it is a train wreck! This movie should not have been made. It should remain a video game. The dialogue is lame and the actors deliver it in much the same fashion. I found the martial arts action to be well choreographed and decently presented by the cast but the trouble is there should have been more of it and less chatter. I would have also have appreciated less nonsensical humbug such as the masters generating power forces form their bodies and projecting them like lightning bolts. I did find the conscienceless Bison (Neal McDonough) with his piercing blue eyes and Balrog (Michael Clarke Duncan) with his deep voice and bulging biceps to be interesting characters. All in all, forgetable.
