This wouldn't be a 'Games For Windows Live' would it?

Seeing as how Devil May Cry 4 and Lost Planet were both Games for Windows titles, chances are good that Street Fighter IV will be one as well

as far as i know this is going to have online support and if that´s the case then yes it´s going to be windows live, but the good thing about it is that you don´t have to pay a dime in windows live in order to play and you can challenge anybody from the xbox community so i think that´s a good thing.
if only they released the game in a more normal amount of time :(

Games for Windows and Games for Windows Live are not the same thing. One is a brand and the other is a service. DMC4 and Lost Planet were Games for Windows-branded games, but did not use GFWL. (Lost Planet: Colonies used GFWL).

this is completly stupid, when street fighter appears for the p.c the whole hype is going to be cold and it´s going to sell poor and then they are going to blame the p.c. market because it´s pirate stormed bla, bla, bla...... must of the guys that i know who have both a 360 and a pc that can handle the game without problems had bought the game for the xbox and it´s very unlikely that they are going to buy it again, waiting almost 6 months (and possibly more) is plain stupid, thanks for the good intentions capcom but i´m afraid that this game is not going to be a hit on the p.c. and it´s going to be your fault.

if you have a choice between xbox360 and a pc versions and you choose the console game and see it as better, it's probably because you can't afford pc gaming.

PC gamers don't deserve street fighter.

Don't use controllers or sticks either, use your "superior" mouse and keyboard.

That's a bit ignorant!
PC gamers are reffering to FPS and RTS when they say that and they do have decent controllers for the PC.
Not to pick sides, but I am a stronger player in RTS and FPS game on PC due to the mouse/keyboard. I'm not saying you can't be good with a controller; its all about preference.

no they don't either, maybe sensible ones do like yourself, but i got in plenty of debates where PC gamers wear up and down that console gaming can't touch PC gaming, and mouse/keyboard is the holy grail for everything but "twitch" action/fighting games.

You do know that PC's don't only use a mouse and keyboard. They have these things called gamepads. I myself use a Playstation controller for certain games that feel more comfortable it than the mouse/keyboard.

If you read my comment you'd know i never said they only had mouse and keyboard.

But most Joystiq commenter's don't read, so i can't blame you.

I use Xbox360 controllers sync'd with the wireless adapter for PC's, so yes I do know.

Ah, I see what you mean. When you said "...'superior' mouse and keyboard." I thought you meant that PC gamers only use mouse/keyboard. I agree. Trying to play most games other than shooters and and RTS on keyboard feels awkward.

I'll agree that a LOT of the PC gamers out there are just elitist assholes with a large sum of money to burn, but I know a decent amount of them that also console game (including myself). Hell, I never understood why someone would only use one console/PC for gaming, no need to limit yourself unless cash flow is really tight.

I suppose I'll have to keep myself occupied with GG Reloaded while I wait for this to come out, hopefully it will be a good port like Devil May Cry 4.

I have it on PS3 and still I'll buy it on PC.
I hope the PC's release includes all updates and downloadable content that is made available on the consoles.
Ya, its late compared to consles but its an awesome game; hell I still play Quake III and Warcraft III so SFIV will be no different.
One day I won't have a PS3, but I'll always have a PC so for the VERY few games I love, I don't mind buying the same game 2 times.

Hey, WHY CAN'T MADCATZ make a fighting stick that works in ALL USB ports, Xbox, PS3, AND PC?!?!? For a 150 bucks, such compatibility is not unreasonable; in fact, should be demanded.

I really want this game...but I'm still a little wary getting it. I mean...does anybody else think they might "double impact" us, or maybe even "third strike" this game? I'm tired of buying games only to the get the "Special Edition" treatment later with even MORE features(I'm especially looking at you metal gear). The only thing keeping me from thinking it might happen is the DLC method nowadays. But still, I wouldn't be surprised...

Its going to happen for sure, the question is how will they implement it?
If you can upgrade it via DLC, then its all good. I still think when all is said and done, they'll release a "complete" edition with all the extras plus something new just to double dip.
Sad thing is, I'll buy it because I love the game.

Yeah the DLC thing is an awesome Idea. I seriously don't want to pay another $60 dollars for the game because it adds a feature or two and switches around the roster... but hey EA sports does it every year, so who knows.

Bah console gaming on PC never really works! Plagued by the usual critters; installation problems, graphic card problems'n general peformance probs, it's really not worth it in the end! lol...

It all boils down to one thing that makes this both awesome and on my to-buy list:

SFIV in a MAME cabinet > SFIV on a 360.

I hope they'll also have those madcatz-bundles in europe! But atm, you can't even get them for 360/PS3...

Anyways, I am sooo happy this will come for the PC! Probably would've bought a PS3 only for this game, but now I can save those 1400 Bucks :D

The arcade version runs on a Intel Core 2 chip. So it shouldn't be a hard translation for running under directx since it's already an x86 platform.

When will people understand that the latest consoles are nothing but crappy outdated PC's?
Even the arcades are not that different from PC's now... they are still inferior. The arcade that runs SFIV is far inferior to my PC.

Every game is played better with a mouse and keyboard except for driving, sports and fighting games.
You can have any kind of controllers, driving weels... whatever you can think of, better than anything you can buy for consoles.

You don't need to spend a lot to have a decent PC to play any game in resolutions superior to full HD.
I play everything at 1920x1200 in a 24" screen and i didn't spend over $2.500 (AUS) in my new machine. But i built it myself, that makes a difference on the final price if you know where to buy all the parts.

Just stop being lazy.
