Hmmm... so I guess they actually do it!

Jane Eyre is the most egregious Mary Sue in the whole of English literature. Glad to know I'm not the only gamer still haunted by that work :)

I just saw this as a sneak preview at MCB Camp Lejeune. It was long as hell (2h 45m), but damn was it worth every minute. Very subdued, but necessarily violent in all the right times and tones.

All I know is...

1) Zack Snyder is just sexy as hell and he can get it any day of the week. I hope he's gay. Listening to his interviews about Watchmen I get the feeling that he is.

2) Watchmen no matter how much it disappoints the diehards cannot be and will never be as horrible as Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li

So they should really thank themselves that at least it won't be a complete disaster....

He's married and has a son.

His wife also worked on the film and his son plays the role of young Rorschach.

Too bad.

I voted for PA this time round, cos it's a true story. Anyone who's played Noby Noby Boy, and especially had to show a friend how to play it will know the great conversations you'll have.
Though the end of the watchmen comic was great. Still a bit concerned over what they've changed in the end of the film.

Crocomire. Even before voting I'm pretty sure that the first one is going to win though.

The Watchmen comic, I thought, was actually pretty good. The "You lost 35 minutes ago" bit is hilarious.

And deanb, the ending hasn't changed too much,
*SPOILERS*
I think the ending is basically going to be the same except the giant squid isn't going to be the one causing an apocalypse. I think some Dr. Manhattan machine is.
Still glad they're keeping the dark tone of the ending in vain of something more Hollywood-friendly. I loved the comic's ending.

SPOILERS
So instead of the tentacle things it's gonna be some sort of Intrinsic Field Removal device. Which I suppose could fit, though it wouldn't particularly seem like an Alien threat which was the purpose of the tentacle thing. In fact it would seem like it was either Dr. Manhattan or US.
What was wrong with a giant tentacle thing in the first place?

....I know. It's not like an alien invasion is any less believable than super heroes, or the US constitution being amended to let NIXON of all people get a third term.

I'm worried that the whole "save the world" angle will be somewhat lessened by simply uniting everyone against a common enemy, and the point will be completely missed in the end (this has happened before in adaptations of Mr. Moore's comics, granted).

That's what they're making the Niteowl look like? Kind of weak. I wonder if they'll make Billy Crudup walk around naked the whole movie?

They do.

Though the CGI effects on his penis aren't that good from what I've seen so far. But this isn't "The Story Of An Atomic Superman's Penis", it's "The Watchmen".

I thought they would put him in that weird looking thong that they have in the book. At least they got his costume down. "The Story Of An atomic Superman's Penis" would be a terrible name.

I'd like to drop a line for Cross Platform at crossplatformcomic.com. It used to show up on the Webcomic Wrapup before the hiatus, but it's back now with a new comic. Also, the Stolen Pixels comic reminds me of the very first Cross Platform.
