dang mehn... i was hoping for discounted games. if its going to be a Weekly Monday thing then i will hope for multi-discounts for different categories like XBLA, DLC & Xbox Originals not just DLC... otherwise i will stop caring. i'm being ungrateful but i sort of got excited over picking up games for the XBLA or originals cheaper. oh well.

sold this game months ago. figured I'd try to recoup (?) some of my losses from busted controllers. the first one was very difficult but still fun. this one, just plain infuriating.

Has anyone bought the mission pack already? Is it worth it?

I'd probably pick it up without a second thought if it was $5, but $7? I dunno. It's only 2 bucks, but 2 bucks is a new Rock Band song.

i bought it. it's fun, but you'll get tired of it pretty fast. i paid the regular price for it back in the day, and i don't think i've played it for more than 4 hours.

it's WAY harder than the actual game, since you can't save mid-mission. also, the missions are usually just areas from the game, filled with a million enemies spawning there. the exception to this is when they throw you in an arena, and you only have 1 weapon, and you have to kill as many guys as you can before you die. those are the most fun missions.

also, there are only 20 or so missions, one quarter of which are "go kill these bosses". totally impossible (but that's why i love the game lol)

IMO, the price is still a bit high. it's worth about $5.

Its pretty good. But I am a little biased, I really liked NG2.
I would have liked a few new settings, and some of the challenges are really hard, but overall, worth it.

Man, I feel too spoiled from the Braid deal. I haven't stopped playing that. I just sold my Live Acade game that comes with the Arcade Xbox(rather have them on the hard drive), hope some of those games goes on sale soon.

I will be getting this for sure. I picked up NG2 used a few months back (paid 18 bucks) and glad I did not get the DLC. The game is great so far, I am sure playing it in the hardest setting will suck but so was getting 10,000 kills in GOW..

How long would you say it takes to play through this DLC (if you're a decent-good NG player)? That's how I judge whether or not to pick up DLC for a game. I was really looking forward to the new Tomb Raider expansion, but when I found out it only took 1-1.5 hours to beat I decided to pass. Would you say this NG DLC provides at least 4 hours of play?

I still haven't finished it ..... and I consider myself a decent NG2 player. I am playing the full game on Mentor difficulty, and am half way through in that, but there are some missions that are just impossible to do. Especially, since a few of them require you to play through what is essentially a mini-level with enemies and a boss at the end. The problem is, these mini-levels dont have any save points, so when you die at the boss, you have to do the whole thing again.
I have put in over 4 hours into it, but that is counting the countless retries on few of the missions.
