Buy Xbox Live product, get two movie tickets to Watchmen free

This week, Best Buy is offering a not-to-be-missed deal for anyone interested in seeing the Watchmen flick.

With any Xbox 360 console OR Xbox Live purchase, customers will receive a free Watchmen Movie Pack, the contents of which include two Watchmen movie tickets (up to a $24 value) and access to behind-the-scenes content via the Xbox Live Marketplace. Not too shabby of a deal ... but it gets better.

Both 1600 Microsoft point cards and 1-month Xbox Live subscriptions are included in this offer. So, one could purchase some MS points or simply spend $8 on a 1-month subscription to receive the two free tickets. That's a deal even Rorschach could smile about ... that is if his inkblots could be formed to resemble a grin.

sweet deal. Purchased my Imax ticket.

So I just picked this up today and the card that comes with it says:

"Exclusive WATCHMEN Content Includes:
Content includes an exclusive sneak peek of the film, as well as movie trailers and behind-the-scenes footage."

However, when I redeem the code all it does is download a short minute or two long segment from the film entitled "You're Coming in Too Slow" Where's the "trailers and behind-the-scenes footage"

Still a great deal, but disappointing "Exclusive Content"

They need a better way to see if your theater participates. I live in a small college town, so the only theaters we have is a Cinemark and a Primere. I'd do this deal in a heartbeat if I could be sure it worked here in town.

$8 for one month!? Are you kidding?! Wow, at least the points is worth getting (except for sales tax).

Still a good deal though. Pay eight bucks for (up to) $24 of movie tickets and get a month of Live thrown in.

Something else to think about is the 360 Live 12-Month Messenger Gold pack. It's on sale for $50. I could always go for another 12 month gold card, and a chat pad would be nice. PGR4, too, if you still haven't picked it up.

Yep, the extra headset isn't a thrill but the rest of the stuff plus the movie tickets (minus a $5 Reward Zone certificate I had) made this the best deal for me...

there's no sales tax on points, you're buying money. picked mine up sunday, my BB had 50 packs.

yeah got mine at the store. Doing it via mail doesn't make work out because theyre back ordered on everything that is cheap.

I got 8 tickets total. Mine had these out on friday and it just happened to be my birthday. Friends called me and asked what I wanted and I said ms points cards from best buy and to grab the free watchmen tickets. I'm only going to see it once but plan to bring 7 more people who can make it that night with me.
I informed people at work also that its cheaper to get a 1 month card for 8 bucks and get the two tickets also. I was given 2 of the cards for telling them this morning since they didn't even have 360s.

I believe I shall go pick up a 1 month card now.
I plan on canceling Live soon and taking my credit card off my machine so it doesn't keep charging it. Yes I am slightly paranoid

This worked for me in store on 1600 pts but I had to have a manager come over to adjust the price as the tickets rang up 24.99 so be sure you have a copy of the ad or point them to their website

I don't see whats up with all the hype with this movie, i guess its cause i never heard of the Watchmen

I could use an extra month of live, now that I think of it.

I was planning on getting more points anyways so this deal was fine. I tried getting 1,600 point cards, but they are not available to ship, or for in store pick-up. I ended up getting a 4,000 point card that said it was back ordered, but it was available for in store pick-up. Works for me, thanks for the heads up X3F.

I'm on a month-to-month thing with my XBL via credit card. Does that count? How will get the tickets?

I just picked it up yesterday. The watchmen promo is packaged like a 360 game and is sold for 24.99 normally but when they rung it up with my 1600 ms points it became free. it took a little time to find it but I found it in the games. I had to show the clerk the best buy circular. The website you get the tickets through had almost every theater around me available so that part was easy. The xblm DLC is a joke and a waste of time. I didnt see anything that was behind the scenes, just a 75 MB video download that was an excerpt from the movie I believe. All in all, I thought it was a good deal.
