Still not sure what the difference between a Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku and a Tatsumaki Sansora Kyaku is in Street Fighter IV? Well, Capcom has come to the rescue with a printable and totally free training guide. Originally distributed to video game reviewers, it's now available to all in PDF format and not only features character biographies and move lists, but a ton of awesome artwork, including the image you see above this block of text. It's well worth the $15 you'll have to shell out for a new printer cartridge when you're done, so head on over and print it out (Warning: PDF link).

Page 16 is even better. What exactly is Fei Long doing to Dan's ass... and why does it look like Dan is okay with it!?!

Same here. This is awesome!
(And depending on how awesome this training guide turns out to be, I might just buy the game.)

I wish they would have had this when I was whining about sucking at the game. I haven't seen it yet, but with that size I'm hoping it has stuff down to the frame rate info and all that. I'm definitely getting better. Hovering around 1000 BP's right now, which puts me in the top 40000. Of course I haven't got to fight anyone around my current BP's, but I'm ready to take the top guy.
You know, for the lesson.

Is it worth the fucking cheapness known as Seth, the fact that both Ken AND Zangief are broken as all fuck and need patched NOW, or any of the other bullshit CAPCOM seems to be getting away with?
ProTip: When almost half of a characters move are unblockable, when people on the web are making it a contest to see who can beat the game on the highest difficulty using only one hand, and when your final boss has supers that are UNGODDAMNBLOCKABLE and yet have SNK BOSS LEVELS OF DAMAGE, you need to patch that shit. When your gamebase relies heavily on tournament players and yet you have this shit going on, you need to patch that shit.
It reminds me of the first Pokemon TCG packs (yes I used to play Pokemon TCG, lets be adults here) when everyone's strategy was:
A. Get Charizard and use it repeatedly
B. Get Chansey and pray that it survives long enough to actually be useful
and you wanna know what happened? Wizards of the West Coast listened and within 6 months we got an expansion that contained a card specifically for kicking Charizard users in the nuts. Thats what SFIV needs

PLEASE! Seth is a rigged POS i hate this game with a passion because of how frustrated it gets me, I'm quite good when i play with my main character but trying to beat seth with any other character is freaking IMPOSSIBLE, and thats me trying to do it on the EASIEST difficulty.

Wait, how is ken broken again? I haven't played against any good ken players nor do I play ken well, so I'm clueless here.
Zangief is pretty strong, but I didn't think he was broken.
I have nothing to say about seth either though seeing as I haven't unlocked him.

Ken is actually not that great. Sagat is way better at throwing fireballs and has an easier ultra to connect, longer range.
And Seth's ultra is blockable. it just has a smaller window than, say, ryu's which has to travel the screen.
So all in all I'm calling BS.

What's wrong with Zangeif and Ken? Granted tons of players play Ken, but he isn't that hard to deal with. And Zangeif, well, just stay away from him. Sure his throws do good damage but the 360 and 720 degree motions are a pain to pull off at times.
Also I haven't ran into the same frustration with Seth as everyone else here seems to. Granted when I started, yeah, he was a pain. For some characters I can certainly see him being more difficult than others (I've unlocked all the characters in the game though except for Seth himself) but it's not impossible. The key to remember is that on the easiest setting he sucks vs Focus attacks. If you can knock him down just keep chaining a focus attack. Also feel free to use an ultra almost whenever because he sucks at blocking attacks at the easiest setting.
The good thing about Seth is that it makes you think of ways to get past your characters weakness since Seth has almost all of the strong points of characters, just like a last boss should be. If you can deal with Seth than chances are you'll fare better online.
Anyways it's not like I'm amazing either. I'm hovering between 1000-1300BP now, and I main Sagat.

Beating Seth on the easiest difficulty is easy with anyone if you know the proper technique. To open the match try and jump + HK and the crouch + HK to sweep him off his feet. Then charge your focus attack and release it just as he gets up. It will hit more often than not and then you can hit him again as he falls stunned (I usually do crouch + HK). Then charge the focus attack and hit as he gets up again. Rinse and repeat. Sometimes he will block and counter, just be patient and look for another opportunity to sweep him off his feet.
On the easiest setting, while trying to unlock characters, I was able to pull off a fair number of perfects against Seth with characters I have no clue how to properly use. Trust me, doing this you'll be able to beat him with anyone and get all the characters unlocked.

It was saying that it is broken for me too, then I tried "right click - open in new tab" and it worked for some reason or they just repaired it or something.
Try it out.

try it on easiest and with 1 round - this should help beat Seth.
everytime you knock seth over do a sweep kick (heavy) and repeat - this will work for round 1 wins

A tip for those of you who have Adobe Acrobat. You can export all the images from this file and print them separately, so you get clean pics without text, separate character art, etc.
Go to Advanced > Document Processing > Export all images
This doc is made up of a number of images over images, so its a great feature that allows you to see all the artwork separately.

It's easy to unlock all the characters. Just as others have stated earlier you just need to jump hk and crouck hk all day long. Make sure you change the settings to 1 round and a 30 sec time limit. Akuma and Gouken are pretty sweet to play! Good Luck everyone!

How do you print out the pages 2-21 on two pages instead of one page? So, that it, in the end, turns out like a manual with the binding down the middle of the page like it looks like it was designed to be done.

The game's too n00b friendly to be considered a 'harcore fighter'. Capcom made the conscious decision that sales were more important than gameplay integrity. Love it or hate it, SFIV is what we're left with.

If you are a real street fighter fan, you should already have known the moves before the game came out.
