All right, Justin, I'm buying it. But if this sucks, I know where to find you.

I second the recommendation. It's a great game, if that's what you want to call it. just getting to 70% can be relaxing... trying to get to 100% takes a lot of thought on many of the levels, especially those in the challenge tree.

By more robust you mean with controls that won't work as well since you have no gravity (no accelerometers) and worse graphics?

Uh... count me in?

Oh no no no, I just got it. It would be better to put it on the DS because dealing with a publisher, advertising costs, packaging costs, and convincing people to spend at least 20-30 dollars on a 5 dollar game with worse controls and maybe a few extra levels would be the best game plan.

This is what makes the iPhone so appealing. They don't have to deal with that. You spend 90 bucks and watch the cash start to flow in. It's made people millionaires in a matter of weeks. They wouldn't have had that opportunity with a traditional system or handheld. Why would they want to go back to that?

FYI: the end of physical media is coming. This is the beginning of the end of collectors (sad) and the beginning of infinitely cheaper and more original games (good).

ugh...

ds has carts equipped with gyros, would not be a problem.

They could make the game with hundreds of levels for the DS, no worries about download size there. More funding would be required, yes.. but rather than a small downloadable title, it could wind up as a full fledged title with multiple modes, features, unlockables, multiplayer (who knows)

As soon as you're charging ~30$ for a game, you can put a lot more into it.

DD is the future, sure. But while bandwidth remains pitiful, and the DS remains BY AND LARGE king of handheld gaming, putting a game out on the DS will always be a great idea for devs to ponder. especially indie devs.

I remember playing the PC version of this -- which was called Zen Bondage -- a few years ago. It's very relaxing.

They have *nailed* the physicality of moving the thing about by hand, on tricky bits the amount of concentration you put into your fingers is scary.
The tilt also makes things very interesting, especially on a bumpy bus ride.
Really takes advantage of the platform like nothing else could.

I haven't tried it but will soon, I'm glad that more iPhone/iPod Touch games are being highlighted because it can be difficult to find the gems in the sheer number of apps available. Currently I've been playing games on my iPod Touch more than on my 360, Wii, DS, and PC. Some are not great, and many are versions of games we've played a hundred times elsewhere, but is so much easier to play 30 seconds to 2 minutes of a casual game in between other things...I guess just keep the games coming in all platforms!

This is very much like Flower, where if you try to play it like a *game* you will be bored and not see the point of it within minutes.
I initially just flipped the object around and found you can wrap them all in minutes, just like how you can fly through the countryside at speed in Flower and "beat" that easily.

Takes some adjustment if its been a while since you played something that was meant to relax.
As something to chill out on, its ace, but action fans should stick with Fieldrunners.

This game rules! A coworker actually bought it last week, so I picked it up...nice to see it featured; it totally deserves it!
Don't forget some great tower defense games, like 'Fieldrunners' and 'Creeps!'.
