I was tempted to preorder one of these, & trade the game in once I had it.. but then I'd rather wait until the quite Elites appear, my elite is still going strong, it's only been in repair once for gpu failiure.. the 2+ year old Premium I sold to a friend is too, it's only ever had disk drive failiure.. I can't even win a tenner on the lottery, but I've had next to no problems with my 360's.. although one of my brothers has had RROD once, and another has had his PS3 break 3 times (I'm sure they've only been out a year here).

You mean its not a beauty..... Im all for limited edition versions of the 360 (looking at you Halo Edition), but this vibrant, plain red with no design is ugly IMO. I don't see how this would work on any entertainment center, or even a kids desk. Microsoft should of put a little more time into the design before they rolled this one out.

I agree that a design would be cooler, but I think this one looks much better than the baby-poop green Halo edition.

obviously employees will snatch those up, seeing as only two are (supposedly) available. Maybe not with target, but that's how GameStop rolls.

Ugh man. My 360 JUST died and I was SO close to buying one of these bundles and selling my RROD repaired one on eBay. I don't feel like waiting another 2 weeks for it though especially since I thought the RE demo kind of sucked.

They should make them will all interchangeable plastic casings, a la faceplate. Go to the store and buy a different outer plastic casing for 50 bucks or something. Have game versions, solid colors, etc. I know they have sticker like things you can stick on the sides with faceplates, but the plastics might actually sell well. White collects a lot of dust, and I do not have the money to put out for a red console. Unlikely to ever happen, but a nice idea I think.

Or to save money, put it in an entertainment center so you only see the faceplate, and buy a faceplate to your likings.

a design or a permaskin would have been much better. I can get the "limited edition" by just spray painting a normal one...

Did they include the controller with much improved D-pad?

the d-pad on the red controllers is just as bad as all of the others. The one your thinking of is a green one that get bundled with some soccer game.

Isn't the color Red something the 360 has being trying to disassociate itself from?

I know there are many available opportunities for jokes to be made regarding the red xbox 360, but it even doesn't look THAT bad.

Granted I understand someone who has an all black entertainment system not wanting a red 360 in the middle of it, but as someone who doesn't have that, I like this system. And hell if it really is just $400, that is a GREAT buy considering all the stuff you get!

You guys understand what game is bundled with that console right?
Resident Evil 5! Now it's the time to go to your Toy's R Us, and pick up an early copy.
