It appears that
Rock Band Wiikly and
Rock Band Weekly have achieved sync, as Stevie Ray Vaughan's
Texas Flood album and No Doubt will be available this week on all current-gen consoles. The Wii's
Rock Band Music Store still has
a lot of catching up to do, so it also receives a
reconstituted serving of Jimmy Eat World.
Stevie Ray Vaughan's
Texas Flood (200 Wii points apiece):
- "Love Struck Baby"
- "Pride and Joy"
- "Texas Flood"
- "Tell Me"
- "Rude Mood"
- "Testify"
- "Mary Had a Little Lamb"
- "Dirty Pool"
- "I'm Cryin"
- "Lenny"
Individual songs (200 Wii points apiece):
- "New" - No Doubt
- "Futures" - Jimmy Eat World
- "Lucky Denver Mint" - Jimmy Eat World
- "Sweetness" - Jimmy Eat World
The tracks will be available tomorrow, March 3, and videos for all of this week's tracks are after the break.

Damn it! Singing!
Robotochan @ Mar 2nd 2009 2:51PM
I've been playing The Sweetness all day, don't dare sing for fear of popping my ear drums...

I just got a 2GB SD card and went on the Rock Band 2 store and seriously the selection is poor for the Wii. Sure, its better then the Guitar Hero store but by now I'd expected Harmonix to have more Wii songs!
I have money to blow on some DLC songs so please release MORE!!!!!!!!!!!
Eric @ Mar 2nd 2009 2:48PM
There going to get there. The Xbox and PS3 Has some really Great stuff. It will be coming to the wii at some point.
KIMP @ Mar 2nd 2009 2:56PM
I really hope so!
DLC is a great idea but it needs more songs!
I might get a couple of Nirvana and Nine Inch Nails.
They should release at least like 10 to 20 every week...
And what is happening with the GHWT store?
There's hardly ever songs added.

I would have killed for this sync last week when they released the Old 97's track.

Nice to see the New Releases finally happening day & date, let's hope this is just the launch of the New Releases - not a fluke.
Either way, HMX has been doing a good job overall with this. Yeah, it launched late but still smokes the "other" game's Wii Store, which was up @ launch.
To KIMP - the only tracks Wii users won't get are the main "on disc" tracks from RB1. No way for Wii users to export them over to RB2 like on 360/PS3 & not likely to get relicensed for DLC distribution (althogugh it'd be a great way for HMX to re-sell material). The 5 Wii RB1 "bouns tracks" - which were existing 360/PS3 DLC when the Wii edition came out, will be on the Store. At least 2 already have popped up, as have many from the 2 Track Pack discs.
Save for those RB1 disc tunes, all wil come to the Wii Store in time. I imagine Wii can expect the same Tuesday new stuff + selected catalog tracks until caught up for the foreseeable future.
Spike @ Mar 3rd 2009 3:09PM
imho, there were only like 4 songs from RB1 that i could actually listen to, and they are non-transferable, so it isn't like i could play them on RB2 anyway
KIMP @ Mar 2nd 2009 5:21PM
Thanks jefreyw1f but at the "speed" they are doing it right now it will take them years!
