Virtual-On Oratorio Trailer

The website for Virtual-On Oratorio Tangram ver. 5.66 features new screens of the Xbox Live Arcade release of the classic arcade/Dreamcast robot fighter, as well as the trailer above. As expected, it looks pretty much like a Dreamcast game with smoother edges -- a look that, to our eyes, only amplifies the clean, simple look of Dreamcast 3D.

The graphics kind of don't matter, however, because this XBLA version of VOOT includes online battles, and that is just plain awesome no matter how incremental the graphical upgrades are. Sure, it's pretty much expected for Xbox games to have online play, but we didn't dare get our hopes up for this one, just in case. Now we just need someone to build custom 360 Twin Sticks for us, and we are in business. Oh, and Sega needs to announce the game for somewhere other than Japan. But after that and the stick thing, we are in business.

THIS makes you want a 360? Ya, the rest of the huge library and several exlusives do kinda suck., but VOOT is totally off the chain.

This was awesome in the arcades.

I couldn't care less for online play.. only co op counts for me, but then I usually play solo anyhow..

WTF just when i was gonna buy a ps3..... NOW I GOTTA BUY AN XBOX JUST FOR THIS GAME .... its not fair T_T ah well....

Am I the only one who found it funny that the trailer is trying to be dramatic? Perhaps it's just me. I wonder if watching The Pink Panther 2 dropped my I.Q to a record low.

Pretty much nostalgic as heck.

I've always wanted to like this game and I played the demo on my Dreamcast (yes, we had demo's back then in the form of discs from Dreamcast magazine) but I couldn't get into it. Never played it in the arcades.

Is it because I never played it with the arcade control sticks? Because I never played against a live opponent?

Maybe the live opponent thing, but it's a pretty awesome game all around, so if you couldn't get into it, then it just isn't for you.

Finally!!!!!!! they need more dreamcast games on the xbla hint hint Power stone!!!!!! and power stone 2!!!!!!

is this still only going to be for japan??
