Only European and Latin American teams. There's no North American teams for the fans of MLS.

But I'll still buy, I don't really like any of the MLS teams.

as an avid fifa player i was excited to see dlc. after reading more completly not interested in the ultimate team mode, and think it is a way ea is trying to get more cash from its users.
im kinda mad about the mandatory 1.3gb update, i understand a small update to enable the larger one for people to buy the dlc. but this is totally unreasonable.

Mandatory 1.3gb title update? Does that mean in order to continue to play the game online, you need to have the 1.3 gig update, even if you don't want to buy or use the DLC?

This is a bit of an extreme measure especially for people with the 20gb hard drives, and what about people who play online without hard drives at all, a minority maybe but EA are definately out for milking the cash here, for me to shell out 800 points I want an incentive such as more achievements and an addictive long lasting game mode for this.
They also should have made the be a pro season mode to span over an entire career that would be good DLC to see as well

ALSO!

this update will bring trophies to fifa 09.

they just must make a better manager mode for offline playing next year. it is getting ridiculous.

Oddly, as much as I curse EA and Microsoft, EA has made a move I finally been callling me. Instead of charging us full price for another disc when the core of the game does not change, give us bloody DLC. This is the move for EA, and I hope they do this to continue to develop Fifa until they rework and drastically change the formula so much it does require another full price disc. It is the main reason i refuse to buy EA sports games year after year...

"Comcast -- and Rogers Cable -- users had better schedule their bandwidth usage accordingly."

for all of the 50 people in the world that actually own this game... lol.

Eh....FIFA is one of the biggest selling franchises in the world every year, and is probably one of, if not THE, biggest selling franchise outwith Mario, ever.

It's been going every year since 1995 and FIFA 09 broke records in itself.

Sounds to me like a perfect chance for EA to basically turn a full game into a demo and then nag the person until they buy

Your wrong, there will be a title update, but you'll have to download the Ultimate Team as extra from the main menu:

"A downloadable title update will be available on 19 March so all you will need to do is start up FIFA 09 on or any time after that date and update the game. Once updated, you'll see Ultimate Team in the main menu. Selecting it will enable you to choose the language (English, French, German, Italian or Spanish) and that will trigger the download. The download will be around 1.3GB and it's free to everyone. With the download you'll receive a five-match trial of the game. If you like it, you'll be able to purchase it at the end of the trial."

source is in your own post...

Will be getting this!

I hope that Ultimate Fantasy team includes player past, present, and future.

I'm not holding my breath but it'd be pretty cool if they did like the old Madden games where you could unlock the '72 Steelers Squad.

'99 United Squad vs. Arsenal 'Invicibles' etc...
or the 77 NY Cosmos with Pele, Beckenbauer, Carlos Alberto and Chinaglia!
Those were the days!

Since the ultimate team came out, I haven't stop playing it... it is great and very entertaining!!! I love it!! I would totally recommend it to anyone!! I have 20GB hard drive and the 1.3gb update, that was like taking one sand grain from the beach... it was nothing, i know some people may have their hard drives full or almost full but, it's not that much, come on... stop crying!!
