Coolio. I'm digging the art style of this game (even though I've never heard of it before).

I'm trying to read up on it, but can someone answer a quick question? I see this game mentioned alongside Yggdra Union, but they aren't related at all in gameplay or story, are they? I ask because I love some of Atlus' games (R-Type Command), but I didn't enjoy Yggdra on the PSP at all. Plodding and unsatisfying. And this is from a turn-based strategy glutton. :-)

The relation between Yggdra Union and Knights in the Nightmare is that they both belong to the Dept. Heaven series from Sting along with Riviera: The Promised Land. There are some small connections between all three games such certain bosses, areas, and other things of that nature. Also if the GBA Yggdra Union is in the GBA slot while playing this game than Yggdra will explain the tutorials and you will get Pamela as a secret character.

... and if you have a DSi, you can use the camera to take a picture of the Yggdra Union GBA cartridge to unlock the extras.

But what if you have Riviera: The Promised Land GBA in the GBA slot?

And what is the release date for this game?!!?

Atlus has given me more great games than any other company! Etrian Odyssey, Yggdra Union, Eternal Poison, Persona, Luminous Arc, Ys, and now this?!?! Atlus, I love you.

It's safe to conclude that Atlus U.S.A. knows how to take care of other games' series that have an American establishment here.

Example:

MMV*: Luminous Arc series, Contact, Steal Princess
NAMCO BANDAI**: Eternal Poison, Summon Night series, Super Robo Wars: Original Generation series

*Marvelous is rather new to the US. I find it rather acceptable on their part.
**I take this as a sign that Namco Bandai prefers milking Naruto more than taking care of their other better series.

Atlus knows how to combat game piracy. Give people tons of extra stuff, so they'll actually want to go out and buy the game.

Even Konami's taking a page or 2 from Atlus U.S.A., once I found out that Suikoden Tierkreis' pre-order bonuses will consist of an artbook and a CD (at least, in Amazon).

This game looks cool, but it appears that Atlus is taking the Squeenix route, starting this puppy out at $34.99 MSRP.

However unlike Square Enix, Atlus is also giving out a CD with any purchase of the game and free art book for those who pre-order. Square Enix would most likely sell both for about $10 each along with the $39.99 for the game.

Mikhail makes a good point. Square Enix just wants money. Why else are they milking FF7?
