I believe you are mistaken...

The deal is buy any Live item [XBL subscription/Points] and get 2 tickets for free with the download token being 3 random minutes of the movie. [Trust me I watched it].

"Purchase an Xbox 360 console or any Xbox Live product to receive a free Watchmen movie pack entitling you to two free movie passes and access to an exclusive sneak peek and behind-the-scenes footage on Xbox Live Marketplace"

Outinthedark,

No I'm talking about an instore item at my local best buy. I will take a picture of it on the way home and post it to show you. It's a box that includes a download token for the watchmen game from XBL and two movie tickets for $24.99.

After I get off of work I'll post a picture so you can see what I'm talking about.

Outinthedark is right. I just got it yesterday and the token is for a short clip of something... don't know because I hear its not worth activating. But yeah it is just the two movie tickets coupon and the DLC Exclusive content token.

And yes it is inside a green Xbox 360 case, located where all the video games are at. It does not include a token for the XBLA game.

I'm the sort of person that should have actually ran away from my computer after I read the first paragraph. Even so I would have bought it despite my hatred of all things Watchmen movie, tie ins withstanding, were it a good game.

I appreciate the write-up reviews that the joystiq staff does, but if they're going to consistently neglect to mention if games even have multiplayer, you might think about putting some sort of box on every review that lists quick details like how many players, game rating, stuff like that. I wouldn't expect this downloadable game to have multiplayer, but since there's two of you punching your way through badguys, is it possible it has local co-op? Isn't it worth telling the audience either way?

I'm pretty sure it does have local coop, just not online.

Well now that I have played the demo I am back to report.

I actually like it. As a straight beat 'em up its actually a lot of fun. Sure, there is a lot of kicking and punching but there are enough alternative moves for it not to get repetitive. I played the demo a couple times and still want more. With counter attacks, throws, and so forth its pretty good.

Granted it probably rips apart the source material. But as I stated above, I don't know anything regarding that. So as far as gameplay goes I feel it is pretty solid. And plus, it for sure is the best looking XBLA game to date.

The demo was ok, I played as Rorschach ofc (I bet everyone chose him first).

On one hand I can see it getting stale, but on the other, it's just like the old days of Streets of Rage/Double Dragon etc. I used to love those games so it took me back a little, having not played anything like them in so long.

I won't buy the full game though - it's a little overpriced for what it is.
