Kingdom Hearts DSi bundle launching May 30 in Japan

The existence of this bundle sort of validates a rumor we received a while back: while there is a 358/2 Days DSi bundle as predicted, there has been no mention of an included Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories game nor of this special DSi having a Game Boy Advance slot. We expect that the Japanese sites would have mentioned that if it had been the case.

Looks like a chess board from hell!
chispito @ Mar 5th 2009 1:06PM
Nah, it looks like a pattern Disney would put on a hoodie to attract wannabe punk/emo kids.
HotLimit @ Mar 5th 2009 5:39PM
You mean Kanye West.
Rocks @ Mar 5th 2009 9:42AM
Looks kinda Gucci inspired....
manuel @ Mar 5th 2009 9:46AM
And our American friends complain when the SRP is over 30$. :/
NaeemTHM @ Mar 5th 2009 9:50AM
Oh lawd...Nintendo has instantly made 8 trillion dollars.
All they have to do now is release a Final Fantasy VII inspired DS and they'll have enough money to rule earth.
Nobuqu @ Mar 5th 2009 9:58AM
Oh great, now you've given them that idea and we're all screwed. We're talking Armageddon here, 4 horsemen, apocalypse, the end times, etc...
I mean if Nintendo and square were to join forces and release FF VII DSi + game what would really be left to accomplish? Nintendo would just sit back, stop making games, and roll in the dough for the rest of their days.
WalkingCarpet @ Mar 5th 2009 10:21AM
You mean they don't already have enough money to take over the world?
Cosmo @ Mar 5th 2009 11:57AM
Sony should get a re-release of FF7 on the PS3 and that should be a nice boost in sales. They got people excited by the tech demo back in 2005, now actually deliver it.
megapenguinx @ Mar 5th 2009 3:38PM
Cosmo, no amount of Final Fantasy can save the PS3 at this point. All hail our plumber rulers! May getting jumped on come swift to their enemies
HighFiveJesus @ Mar 5th 2009 9:51AM
i like it
can't wait for the game, i don't need a dsi but its way cool.
Erwos @ Mar 5th 2009 9:55AM
I would have seriously considered importing this for the wife if the DSi wasn't partially region-locked. Doh.
Markez @ Mar 5th 2009 11:32AM
Yeah, my girlfriend would go bananas over this. She really liked KH when she played it on her PS2. Now for the most part she just plays her PSP, either Madden or Loco Roco. This is pretty schweet.
Cosmo @ Mar 5th 2009 11:43AM
Markez, there is also a Kingdom Hearts game coming out for the PSP and the system is region-free for games.
Fernando Rocker @ Mar 5th 2009 12:41PM
I have said this a lot of times here at Joystiq: The DSi is NOT region locked. If you import a japanese DSi, you can still play all your american DS games...
The only problem would be: you can't change the DSi system language to english, and you can't acces the american DSiWare store. The DSiWare is the one that is region locked... but not your retail games.
Cosmo @ Mar 5th 2009 1:52PM
Isn't Sony's Playstation Store region-free? Why would Nintendo's be region locked?
FantomRedux @ Mar 8th 2009 10:11AM
Fernando, I think that might be why he said "parially regoin-locked". Try reading rather than skimming.
Kadamon @ Mar 5th 2009 10:01AM
This comment is to hopefully prelude all the 'wtf is with that title question'
Said out loud, it will be as follows:
Three Hundred Fifty Eight and a Half Days.
Not Three-FIght-Eight Over Two or whatever nonsense is going around.
This is about Roxas and pretty much the majority of his existance from when Sora either turns into a Heartless or falls asleep in Oblivion Castle (Haven't quite figured that one part out, or if they happen on the same day.) and ends just as Kingdom Hearts 2 begins.
JC Fletcher @ Mar 5th 2009 10:15AM
I hate to tell you this, but it's officially "Three Five Eight Days Over Two"
TheEngineer @ Mar 5th 2009 10:09AM
EDIT: Off-topic nonsense. I've been banned.
baby sea tuna @ Mar 5th 2009 10:12AM
I don't particularly care for Disney, Kingdom Hearts, want a DSi, or live in Japan...but I really do like the design!
WalkingCarpet @ Mar 5th 2009 10:24AM
It is kind of neat looking, and it would be really cool if they put Chain of Memories on the 358/2 cart and put touch screen controls for the cards in. That would be more than enough to make me want to pick this up (given that it comes to the states. Not a big fan of importing games).
Josh @ Mar 5th 2009 10:31AM
If I liked Kingdom Hearts, I would want that.
Nter @ Mar 5th 2009 10:46AM
It's definitely ugly.
Rhamsey @ Mar 5th 2009 10:58AM
thats an ugly design. there are so many better fan made ds covers out there, they should have just picked one of those.
capt_carl @ Mar 5th 2009 11:07AM
WANT
Come to the US please.
j.howlett @ Mar 5th 2009 11:27AM
that's a good looking device
Vidikron @ Mar 5th 2009 11:33AM
Hmmm... most here seem to like the design, I think it's rather atrocious. Just too busy looking.
Mr Khan @ Mar 5th 2009 12:02PM
I agree. Especially since the camera lens kinda screws it all up.
scissors125 @ Mar 5th 2009 12:08PM
Ahhhhh.... AHHHHH
*orgasms*
Pure PWNAGE
Luke @ Mar 5th 2009 1:39PM
Clean that up now!
Rosario @ Mar 5th 2009 12:15PM
Ive been waiting for this to come out, along with the rumored PSP bundle. The design is different and it doesnt look that bad. I would have to see it person before I bought. Hopefully it makes it way over here in the states.
CesarSalad @ Mar 5th 2009 1:36PM
Damn, I would have Imported but I forgot the store is region locked :(
klitorisaurus @ Mar 5th 2009 2:49PM
Am I the only one perverted enough to notice that the cross has balls?!
PX @ Mar 5th 2009 6:24PM
it looks ugly
TheOverlord#2 @ Mar 5th 2009 6:48PM
If DSiWare wasn't region-locked i'd import this. >_
Covarr @ Mar 5th 2009 7:53PM
How is this a bundle if there's no game included?
Danny @ Mar 6th 2009 12:32AM
It was a rumour they'd somehow include the GBA KH game, Chain of Memories. 358/2 will be in the bundle.
Christian @ Mar 10th 2009 5:52PM
I want this one! I hope for Joystiq to keep an eye out and let us know if they will plan to release this here in America!
