She's stronger and faster than Lara, according to the devs, who've decided to focus more on hand-to-hand (and foot-to-face) combat for the Shadow's turn in the spotlight. The doppelganger has the ability to speed up and slow time, as well as amplify the power of any weapon she's carrying. The episode appears to be quite platforming-heavy; watch for snippets of Lara's look-alike running up walls and shimmying along ledges with inhuman speed. (Maybe because she's ... not human?)

COOL!!! We can alter the time? You mean, like, in case we never played Prince of Persia?
Sorry I don't have this game, so I guess I should take my sarcasm and GTFO.

Does anyone even care about this game, such an irrelevent boring character. Tomb raider needs to die. Try and salvage any prestige it has left. Do something new and creative with all of these tomb raider resources. Square enix better do something with eidos.

They just need to retire Tomb Raider for this generation. Wait till the next one and reinvent the series the like they did this generation. Seriously, they need to fucking milking her dry. They shouldn't have been surprised that Underworld didn't do as good as Tomb Raider Legends.

I forgot to add: Stop copying franchises and include the "DLC" in the game next time instead of taking out sections of the game so you sucker us into buying what should have been included in the full game. Why does look so much like Tomb Raider: Warrior Within? Seriously....

Frickin laaaaame
When you've completely run out of good ideas...create an alter ego/bizzaro type character to oppose usual heroine.
It's like the Tomb Raider team is a mirror image of the failing Sonic team.
Morons..

Ok so at this point everyone just assumes that everyone has played Underworld or at least know exactly what happens, or everyone just doesnt care to spoil the game cause it's not really like an ~important~ game you dont want spoiled like Bioshock or something. So can anyone tell me, what the hell is going on in that story? what the hell is she? is it like a ghost? a clone? a spiritual evil side of her? huh???

I like Tomb Raider games. Not sure where all the flak is coming from. It's not like they've ever been this epic thing that's sullied with every sequel. ...And people steal shit from other game all the time. There's just a strong of a case that PoP stole elements from TR. The new DLC looks badass, and I plan to buy it.
The only thing I can see is that it's definitely the type of game that can be DLC based instead of making a new game to buy every couple years. I think they tried that with the Anniversary DLC in Legend, but they made it ridiculously over-priced.
Anyway, I hope Lara doesn't go away any time soon. All you haters with nothing better to do should move along.

Im guessing Square came barging through the door just when they started making the DLC for Underworld and said
"Okay lads! This here is the team behind FFVII, they'll be taking over the show now and making Lara as much a fighter as Tifa from FF7, fuck guns, the next tomb raider will see lara with a massive small car sized sword and spunky blue spikey hair, you former developers can take a hike!"
I mean, wtf was that? Did I just see Lara croft, my childhood heroine jumping across walls and kicking enemies about like as if she were in the next god of war? Goddess of war anyone?

I know its the doppleganger muppit, thats exactly the reason why I don't like it. Basically its following in the footsteps of every other failing franchise by introducing a darkers side

BORED. BORED. BORED. BORED. SORRY, LARA STILL A FAILURE. BECAUSE DRAKE ALREADY KICKED HER SEXY BUTT! UNCHARTED IS STILL BETTER THAN TOMB RAIDER, EVER.
I HEARD THEY WILL MAKE A TOMB RAIDER WITH MATURE RATING! MATURE?! (O-o) ARE THEY KIDDING!? WHATEVER, IM STILL NOT INTERESTING IN HER NEXT "MATURE" GAME BECAUSE UNCHARTED 2 WILL BE COME THIS FALL! CHEERS!

Can't wait. This is how DLC should be done: trying something different. Depending on length and price, I may get this one (as the last one was more of the same and extremely overpriced).
Am I the only person who thinks that Underworld is the best Tomb Raider game yet?

Wow. Its prince of persia.
I know everyone already said that but.... wow... what else is there to say.
Any video that includes the words "taking it to the next level" and "grittier" is a sure sign of an upcoming disaster.

what makes a tomb raider game even more interesting
is to create an whole game around lara crofts former evil shadow
and how this concept would work if the real lara stay
at her mansion overseing the repairs to her home
after the devistation aftermath in the underworld game
whilles lara's now programmed shgadow goes travelling
around the world solving puzzels and to collect
replacement relics for the ones tha was distroyed in the fire
and have some levels in modern cities well as acient ones
it will be a great concept for an tomb raider game and call
it lara crof-the lara's shadow adventures will be great title for the game.

I don't see why everyone keeps trashing the game. If you don't like the game, then don't say anything at all. Don't you have anything better to do? I thought the game was well developed. It is MUCH better than Legend and Aniversery (I can't spell...), and they were good. I really loved how the game took full advantage of actual Norse mythology and incorporated it into the game. TRU overall has a much more developed plot/story compared to the other games, and I think adding to doppleganger was a very interesting, exciting twist. They are basically reintroducing an idea from Aniversery, where you run across that doppleganger that only mimicked Lara at the end of the game. The only bad thing I would have to say about the game is that they did not obviously spend as much time on modelling Amanda as they did all the other characters. Her features are much more... is "comical" the word I'm looking for? All the other characters are more realistic.
