Unreal Tournament 3 Titan Pack delayed on PS3

We've got some good news and some bad news. We'll start with the negative stuff first. The previously announced PS3 version of the Titan Pack for Unreal Tournament III has been delayed two weeks (the PC version is still out today). According to Epic's Steve Polge, it's been pushed back to March 19 due to a snag in the certification process.

It's not a total loss. The good news is that the PS3 version has been patched today to include Trophies and split-screen multiplayer -- both were originally slated to release alongside the Titan Pack. Hopefully, Trophy hunting and split-screen gameplay will keep you preoccupied for the two-week wait.

got the 2.0 patch (for PS3) last night at 2am GMT - weights in at 112 mb...
very nice indeed - I love the new black look to the UI... weapons look extra polished... shame about the delay but at least the trophies are active...

I started up this game 8:00 est and didn't get a notice for the 2.0 patch.Then I heard people were saying Europe got the trophy 2.0 patch so I went on my European account and still no patch.I gave it one last try on the Japanese account and guess what?NO LUCK.What is up with this patch?Did anyone in US get the patch?

Okay guys, here's an update.

Message from Epic:

"US and Europe go through different certification paths. It was planned that US and Euro patches would come out the same day for cross-Atlantic compatibility. A miscommunication caused the Euro patch to release today, before the US patch was ready. The US patch will be available as soon as humanly possible. The Titan Pack will come later (around the 19th).

Sorry for the confusion everyone!"

So it looks like the US should be receiving the patch anytime now.

Huh? I'm in Scotland, and I start up my copy of UT3, and no update. It just starts normally, and I can still connect to online servers. I'm not sure if my copy is from USA, my friend got me it for my 17th birthday. Any solutions?

Sadly it doesn't work that way, the actual discs have different codes, to receive the update your disc would have to have been the Euro disc and not the US disc.

You could live in antarctic or Africa, or Australia and you would not get the patch with your US disc.

Its done by the disc region not the ps3 region or where you are, or where you say you are.

I love UT3, but like everyone else, the lack of community on ps3 is really what has killed it and made it start collecting dust on my shelf. The addition of trophies and a fat new patch should definitely help reinvigorate it, and will definitely make me play it again.

Here's to praying for a new, better community for ps3 players! (then i won't have to buy killzone 2 :)

OK, so the patch is confirmed as NOT out in the US currently (I just tried.) Update the story and let us know when it's actually live? Muchas gracias.

according to the mods at the epic forums the patch wont come out today :(
