It would kick ass if dbl XP weekend coincided with the release of the new map pack...
That's never been done yet. The servers on the PSN and 360 side would simultaneously explode.

This came from a twitter update from Major Nelson. Could the double XP be coinciding with the release of the map pack on Friday?

We’ve decided to celebrate the successful launch of this update with Double-XP Multiplayer! This coming weekend (March 6th – 8th) all players will accrue 2x their normal XP in all playlists – on ALL supported platforms! This includes Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3, PC, and the Nintendo Wii.
