Nope. This is not old news. There may have been rumors, but this is an official announcement/confirmation, something the public had yet to receive.
Anyways, I'm glad they've kept their budget price. It makes buying the game much more recession friendly. Speaking of, I hope all the people who pirate this game to burn in internet hell. IT'S ONLY TWENTY F**KING DOLLARS. JUST BUY IT!

In EU the first one was 40 Euros and the second is 30 Euros =)
It's still much more expensive that in the USA but I don't care I'm soooooooo happy because I bought it yesterday!!! =P

Loved the first game, these are the type of games that the PSP needs to get back in the game. That and they need to lose UMD, just make everything downloadable.
