The first game was a stinker, I wouldn't recommend paying more than $10 for it, but the characters were definitely enjoyable and the story was decent. The game play was great in theory but lacked camera-control refinement. Compared the impossibly high standards of Call of Duty 4 and Gears of War 2, the missions also lacked polish and felt a bit repetitive.

Supposing EA lets this one sit in the oven long enough, I bet this is a going to be a very successful game.

I still like the suggestion of Two Fucking Douchebags (TFD). You think it's too late for them to change it?

It can. The first Call of Duty was rather boring, imo (except for part of the Russian campaign, and even that was ripped verbatim from Enemy at the Gates) but the 2nd one was pretty sweet and the 4th one kicked ass. I'm optimistic.

The worst thing about the weapons was how long it took the bullets to go from the muzzle to your target.

Played the demo co-op of Army of Two and it was medicore. Corny dialogue, weird animations at times, at the time of release $60 is waaaaaaaaay too much for most of the games on the market. Once it hits the "discount bin" it doesn't hurt to play, especially with a friend next to you. Also with new IP's like Mirror's Edge and Dead Space doing "so-so" in the sales department, the next logically choice for companies is to put out sequels. Gamers wanted new IPs and didn't buy them, so its all your fault for not buying new IPs!!! Army of Four anybody?!?!??!

Goodness...alot of people hated this game. It's like we didn't even play the same game.

I for one really enjoyed it, but I think it's b/c I played it through with a buddy all the way through. We were able to finish in one extended sitting.

It was ALOT of fun, definitely worth the rental. I still have my copy, I was intending to go online but it never happened. it's like an over-the-top Hollywood movie, which is what I think they were shooting for.

If I had any complaints about it, it's that the weapons don't feel distinctive. And after all the upgrades, it also didn't feel like your weapon picked up any significant power. Stick with the PKM, not the P90, if I recall...suppressors were useless, the A.I. could still find you no matter what.

Buying weapons was one of the best parts of the game, b/c the weapons are beautifully illustrated, and I liked the way you could zoom into each area of the gun and customize that particular part. Response time though was a bit sluggish for these menus.

This game should get handed off to EA Redwood Shores if they definitely want to get it right. From what I heard from an EA employee, the game was a complete goatfuck of an operation, that's why it was delayed so badly. The game has potential for greatness if they can address some of the issues the other posters ran into...

Stop writing BS!
This game sold around 1.7 M copies only on XBOX 360. Its split screen co-op was amazing - even better then Gears. I can't wait for the new one.

I need to ask then what is the best co-op split screen game out today. I think the only game I have played so far is Army Of Two the first one. Any good ones out there. We can use some help.
