Rumor: 'Guitar Hero 5,' 'Band Hero' coming this year

What could that possibly be? Guitar Hero World Tour implemented the 4-piece band thing, yeah?

Maybe it takes place in a high school and you play clarinet or something?

The sheer amount of SKUs is getting ridiculous, but in the end I don't really care. If the music is good, I'm not going to pass the game up just because it's the 4th GH game released this year. And the same can be said of most people here. Assuming you like most of the music on one of these, would you honestly not buy it solely because 'they made too many versions of the game this year"

I'm starting to think that's Activision's strategy. If they keep pumping out more setlists, they are bound to hook people on at least one of them.

Could they have not just repleased all the up and coming songs as DLC for world tour?
also the greatest hits vid is on game trailers. songs from gh2 and 3 and the 80s one.

i will not continue to support neversoft
i will however, continue supporting red octane
rock band has proven it csn be good on every platform so far,(i pitty anyone who actually still plays RB on a PS2) even the wii
i may change my mind if GHGH is any good

Well, considering how easy is to make more Guitar Heroes, is not strange to see these many new games. It's actually predictable. You just need to put new songs and some new graphics, and you're done. The game mechanics are already there.

Why are people assuming:

A) This is legit?

-and-

B) It's even coming this year?

Why not real instrument hero and teach kids and grwon ups how to play the real thing, Ive seen BB stock up on real guitars to sell now..Real Instrument hero would be easy to make as it would be attaching a microphone to the realinstrument and hitting the right notes..It would propel instrument sales and teach kids how to play the real thing.
