Trophies: Unreal Tournament III

UT3 may not be the best game out there, but it's great that Epic has done things I don't think some people appreciate enough. Just the fact that you are able to have a kb/m option says alot about the company. 2, they listen to their fans to not only shove split screen in whiney faces... but they're doing the 800mb update/pack free. Adding in trophies, even though they could just move on? Oh and lastly.. all of those wonderful mods and maps that they let you download free of charge, thanks to awesome PC UT3 players efforts. So next time you want to complain about how sorry we should all feel for you... maybe you should go play something else.

@blue_beast: I never complained about all that shit. But fans shouldn't have had to complain. Whenever I see a post about UT3, I wonder, is anyone on the PS3 still playing this? It seems like an act of desperation. I'm not knocking the Mods or anything of that sort, I'm just saying, its a bit late for a game that wasn't the best from the start.

WTF are you talking about Bob wasn't even complaining he's actually happy Epic did this, you asshole. Sorry but you sound like a complete asshole he's happy it's getting patched but let's face facts, although UT 3 was an awesome an outstanding online achievement it's not a great FPS in the campaign & online quickly stumbled with lack of gamers within 3 months!!! By around Januart last years people weren't available online & took a good 20 minutes or so to find a match. & wtf man you sound like a pissy softcore kid ranting. So don't bullshit me, he fuking appreciates Epic's efforts are you fuking stupid read his post again? lolSorry I just thought that was pretty slick of you, in a dumbass way.

Bob, my comment was not directed entirely towards you. I was merely stating the noteworthy and positive reasons for someone who may not share your same views, or hasn't had the opertunity to play the game yet. I know there are alot of people looking to buy this game, and probably thought it may be a good time to check it out. It sucked that the first comment they read is one putting down the game, IMO as it's gotten a solid 8.5-9.0 review average. I just wanted to stand up right away, and provide another reaction to Epic catering to their fans. (and some tough critics)
For what it's worth Bob, If I wasn't going to get excited about this, someone else would have. Maybe this will give us one more person online to play against, and quite possibly make us prove our eliteness to a human and not a bot.

This upcoming update is obviously a step in the right direction, if a bit late.. but it doesn't mean it wasn't a great game. It has a hard time being more than anything it's not, and it's not a story driven game.. nor has ever been. People should know when they purchase any type of Unreal Tournament game, that it's going to be a fast paced FPS with your standard deathmatch, CTF, "zones" (Warfare) etc etc. This of course is going to be best displayed online or splitscreen which is now possible.

And finally to Andrew Ryan, you sound like a little angsty 16 year old, swearing for the first time. Did I once say that HE wasn't appreciative? no, i said, "I UT3 may not be the best game out there, but it's great that Epic has done things I don't think some people appreciate enough." Was I including him? Possibly. My case in point was using Bobs first statement as an example:

"Wow, thanks Epic! A game that I played for like a week!" (slight sarcasm?)

You're right about the game's fan base thinning out though. Yes, it became hard to find a match for many reasons... it could have been the dividing of players who played with Keyboard and Mouse and others who only had Controllers. Also, the many modes spread people out.. and by the 3 week point.. Vet's were scaring off Noobs. So yea, it's going to decline in userbase.

You know you're also right about this as well.. but I consider UT to Deathmatch and CTF, like others do to Killzone = War Perfected. ...It does what it's supposed to do, and nothing more.. I don't want to hear the story of UT, (go play Unreal or Unreal II: The Awakening) I just want to blow your head apart.

Basically it will have new characters, maps, game modes, and vehicles. Of course it also have trophies or steam achievements for the pc version. Apparently it adds split-screen to the PS3 version too.
