Buy Bionic Commando, get a comic book with original Dave Gibbons art

The book fills in the story gap between the NES Bionic Commando game and the new one. Chain of Command was serialized in digital form on the Bionic Commando website, but if you want the printed version with exclusive cover art from Dave "Watchmen" Gibbons, you'll have to buy the game.
Oh, he's got a chain for an arm, and he's a command-o. We just got that.

I thought I recognized that style. Dave Gibbons did the art for Beneath a Steel Sky, right?

Has he got a plunger stuck in his gun?

That's what she said...

He looks like Duke Nukem's cousin or something.

That's nice. Makes me feel bad that I've said numerous times that I will not buy Bionic Commando until Grin admits that they never did the trophy patch. I mean, if they actually are working on them, that's great, and I'd love that, but it does not take nine months to make trophies when you just tie them into the medal system. One of the easiest games to make trophies for and they ignore us.
mspiels @ Mar 10th 2009 1:00PM
You won't buy because of Trophies? Trophies? Did you not play any games prior to Trophies and Achievements? Get a life, no one gives a shit about your Trophy collection.
Farseer (GDI) @ Mar 10th 2009 1:32PM
leave him alone, mspiels. He's the one that's missing out.
JuanDHexen @ Mar 10th 2009 2:29PM
I don't really care about trophies that much either but i adds more replay value to any game.
Whylekat @ Mar 10th 2009 2:41PM
Ps3 sucks anyway. The game is probably gonna look awful or lag or something anyway. Just like all other multiplatform ps3 games!
linebeginstoblur @ Mar 10th 2009 2:44PM
It's not trophies. It's anger at the incompetence on Grin's part. Like I said, if they admit to never doing them, that's fine.
There won't be trophies. They only said there would be so people would buy the game. I can't stand it when people lie like that. I'm not saying I won't buy the game, but maybe used. I understand what you all are saying, but you must not have read what I said.
"I will not buy Bionic Commando until Grin admits that they never did the trophy patch"
It's not TROPHIES that I want. It's HONESTY.
Also, Whylekat, screw you.

linebeginstoblur is the perfect example of just how pathetic one person can be. And they wonder what's wrong with society these days...
linebeginstoblur @ Mar 11th 2009 12:25AM
Obviously, my comment was misinterpreted, and maybe rightfully AND wrongfully. My comment probably was not made with the clearest of mindsets anyway. Let me reiterate and correct myself.
Trophies aren't everything, I know. My point was that I want people to be held accountable for their actions.
But if I'm so convinced that there aren't trophies, why not let it go?
So I'm sorry that I've been seemingly bearing a grudge against all things Grin lately. It's stupid of me, and thinking about this post makes me want to go ahead for a preorder after all. I still want a statement about trophies, but it IS more of a want than a "demand." Lately, anytime I hear anything about BCR, I think about how Grin never patched for glitch fixes or trophies. I hate that. I want to think about how great the gameplay is. BCR really is one of the best games out for PSN/XBLA right now.
I didn't like what The NewHampshire Database said... before I realized that kind of whiny troll-like comment was similar in nature to what I said of Grin. So I apologize. What I think and what I say can sometimes be different and things get lost in translation.
mspiels @ Mar 11th 2009 12:28AM
Well if you want honesty than that is fine with me. However the Bionic Commando Remake is done very well and actually has a bunch of extras to tackle when you beat the game. One of the few down-loadable games actually worth $10.
Farseer (GDI) @ Mar 11th 2009 10:59AM
"...I want people to be held accountable for their actions."
I'm with you, but this is America. People in this country don't admit when they are wrong, they try really hard to find someone else to blame. ...And inevitably sue them, of course.
Jonathan @ Mar 11th 2009 3:55AM
I can't believe people can't read anymore. The guy isn't mad that there is no trophy patch coming, he's mad that the developers promised trophies to get people to buy the game with no intention of releasing a trophy patch.
Whylekat @ Mar 25th 2009 1:34PM
Don't hate cause I'm right...
Mogwae @ Mar 26th 2009 7:44AM
"I'm with you, but this is America."
This is the internet, not America, and Grin is located in Sweden.
