Nothing is more frustrating than playing a shooter that feels like you're playing in a plane full of Jello.

most sluggish controls ever.

It's called sensitivity. It can be found in the options. Had the seem impression until I figured that out.

...except a game thatgives every impression before playing the demo of being sick...ive never been left quite as confused and frustrated by a demo before...seeing the in-game video of the guy climing through a decending jet while bending bullets around obsticals looked like lotsa fun...too bad the jet didnt do that in the demo...

"Nothing is more frustrating than playing a shooter where your enemies are stupid."

So true, but its a shame Wanted is no exception. Pretty disappointed in the demo, I thought the little tweaks they added to the cover system was pretty cool. But its a pretty uninteresting game. The worst part for me was that I was forced to use pistols, you can't pick up other guns. I've seen the movie so I can sort of understand why, but I don't think that cuts it in a game.

AI has been lacking as of late. I mean, I don't expect a movie game to revolutionize AI, but even blockbuster games like Call of Duty have shitty AI. FEAR and Killzone 2 have great AI, Crysis had some interesting AI, but they were incredibly stupid once you got up close. I think they were the closest to being human in terms of their reactions, and I think that's what a lot of games are missing. There's plenty of games with smart AI but they don't seem human enough. One improvement could be that they make mistakes, and I'm not talking about "Oops I ran in front of your gun while you were shooting and now I'm yelling at you" a la L4D, but add scripts for making human mistakes, like maybe tripping over something or getting distracted by sounds or other objects. No One Lives Forever did that, you could throw an object and make someone go inspect it. Anything I could think of is probably implemented in game X, but there isn't a single game where all these kinds of ideas are implemented, and when you implement just a handful of ideas, yeah its neat but it is also gimmicky, and less human because now the actions are so limited and the reactions are predictable.

We've got multicores now use them!

I thought it would be pretty cool if the game was almost nothing like the movie except for a few similarities, and they made it completely different from the book as well. I'd still opt not to play it, but it would be nice to see them go for the trifecta.

i thought the demo was pretty weak... none of the cool stuff in the videos was available, just some generic, running to cover and shooting people...

It's possible the game is better, but the demo really doesn't give you a good idea...

this game is a EPIC=Fail. After playing the demo I wanted my bandwidth back from the download. The animation was choppy and controls sucked and the close combat was total one button ass monkey booty.

The Demo exposed anyone curious enough or unknowingly willing enough to a badly controlled game, period. Then again, it's like 99.9% of movie tie-in games, straight to trash.

Ok, I also dug the cover to cover system of it all, but that's it. Oh and by the way, that new Butcher Bay REDUX is junk from the olden days of PC gaming if it's a redone Butcher Bay. Aged garbage. How that game was an Xbox classic shows us how far we as gamers and this as a medium have come.

I first read the article as "Joystiq interview Wanted: executive producer Pete Wanat".... I thought Kevin was requesting an interview or something... Good read though.

Tried the demo on PSN and really enjoyed it. Never saw the movie or read the comic, but I'm definitely interested in the game.

I agree with the previous post, reading the comments makes me wonder if i played the same demo as everyone else. I played it on PSN and had fun with it. The bullet curve controls took a bit getting used to, but it wasn't bad at all. I'm looking for a non-killzone (which demo i was not at all impressed by) type shoot em up and hopefully Wanted will be good enough to buy. I wasn't even interested in this game before the demo, but now i am. Maybe it is generic, but it was fun.

This demo was like playing Winback for the 64, but not in a good way.
