Anyone who thinks we'd go to war with Iraq just has their heads up their asses, and I'm sick of it. President Bush said there'd be absolutely NO nation-building, and you better believe he's going to stick to his word... however, there are rumors that Saddam has weapons of mass destruction, so that might be reason enough...

But enough of that, let's play some Duke!

Joystiq, you should ask for more creative comments in your giveaways. Like maybe for this one you could have told us to leave a comment as if it was 1995!

Good to see that developers are starting to go back to the side-scrolling platformer. Between this throwback to Duke's old shareware days, the new Castlevania coming out on the GBA (so happy Konami's using the classic SOTN style again!), and Metroid Fusion (eight long years since Super Metroid... finally, Nintendo's giving my favorite series some love!) it looks like the genre might just be having a resurgence. You just can't beat the classic mechanics of a 2D sidescroller... look at Metroid Prime: they're trying to put Samus in 3D but I don't see it working. I guess we'll see which is the better game when they're released.

2002 No more hope..
At the impact of the second airpline we it dawned to us: Duke Nukem For Ever would be delayed for a very long time...
Bush Junior and Osama have been doing their uttermost best creating so much viable game content in this life parody of Democracy versus Evil forces that the whole storyline is being totally re-written.

Meanwhile the Duke has been secretly called to duty by his commander in chief, the loyal general now grounded by the new war government that is successfully alienating people by establishing the reign of fear as well as genetically modifying the cows and crops turning proud citizens in zombies deprived of all will,...
What forces replaced the elected president by a puppet and replaced the money with monopoly dollars?
What is going on deep down the Iraqi dessert, where a cleaning action is being prepared?
From where the Alien mastermind is pulling the strings and preparing the American people to accept the invasion from evil that keeps creeping inside the walls of a deemed untakeable fortress of light, now a wasteland of despair and blown dreams.. Losing it's final resource, the babes.
Where is the money, where are the babes?

It will take massive firepower to solve all those questions and to find out where and who really is the Man with the Beard.

but the Duke is pissed and one thing is certain, this time he will kick some serious ass and leave no babe behind.
Are YOU with the Duke as he sweeps through Area 51, the grots of Torabora and save the earth from the shadow massive dreadnought Star Wars project being prepared to destroy the planet and set off with OUR babes?
....Let's Rock!

After watching the Rams lose to the Patriots by 3 points in the Superbowl at the New Orleans Superdome, 2002 HAS to get better! I wonder if that new Duke Nukem game is out yet...that would cheer me up!

Two questions:
1. Why only ten copies? We need a No Gamer Left Behind act.
2. If I have to buy a copy, will they accept old European currency?

Man, Neverwinter Nights is FINALLY OUT, and it ROCKS! I've been following this game since the announcement. What was that, four, five years ago? Ugh. It was worth the wait though.

And how about GTA Vice City coming out this October? Long live the 80's!

Duke Nukem is in 2d now? I mean I know he started out that way back in the day but 3d was so... over the top and awesome. Anyone played that Jet Set Radio Future that was released a month or so ago? I've seen pictures of it in Game Informer and it looks awesome! I can't wait to graduate high school in June so I can get out there and get a job so I can get one of those XBOX games. That Morrowind game looks sweet!

I still can't get over what happened 6 months ago! Never forget, everyone. We're gonna get those terrorists in Afghanistan and if I was eligable, I'd join the Army just to gun down some of 'em. We're going to take out that "Axis of Evil" just like George Bush the Junior said!

Freedom or death!

While the graphics look nice, can the Duke franchise really move back into the 2D realm? I mean with Duke Nukem Forever about to be released I see this game being doomed. The only people that will want to pay $50 for this are those that are nostalgic for the original duke games.
