You may (though you probably don't) remember all the way back to late 2007, when Rockstar picked a young producer by the name of Timbaland up off the streets and gave him a shot at his own PSP game, Beaterator. It's a year-and-a-half later now and, though the sheer power of the announcement was enough to catapult Timbaland to super-stardom, we still haven't seen the game.
Now it seems there's a chance even more people can look forward to a digital Timbaland apprenticeship: Yesterday's Take-Two financial report listed the game's system as TBA rather than PSP. Does this mean DS, Wii or PS2 owners may soon experience the thrill of remixing music with Timbaland breathing down their necks? We'll keep you posted.

ugh....i hate to see it lose it's exclusivity. I'm not sure if this is even a game...i thought this was just some music creator which we already have a game like that...(no, it's not beats)

It's similar to Traxxpad, but it's based off the web application with the name Beaterator and features Timbaland branding all over it.

I don't think exclusivity matters with the psp, since there is nothing else like it.

I DO remember this game's announcement and I've actually been looking forward to this for a long time. Hopefully it will be easier to use than Traxxpad.
That was a really confusing game, but it was fantastic because it put a capable music maker/editor on the PSP and I can't wait to see on how Rockstar may have improved on that idea.

"though the sheer power of the announcement was enough to catapult Timbaland to super-stardom" That made me stop and laugh. Timbo has been producing some of the hottest tracks for huge name rappers and such for a bunch of years now. Who the fuck sees him and says, "Thats that rapper that has a PSP game coming out sometime" just had to laugh. Missy Elliot pays Timberland more money than Rockstar. HaHAhahaHA!

"though the sheer power of the announcement was enough to catapult Timbaland to super-stardom" HahaHAhaha! Timbo was making some of the most expensive tracks for some of the 'hottest' artist in the past few years. His bank roll was Looooong way before anyone heard (or didnt hear) about this stupid game. Missy Elliot pays Timmy more money for one song than Rockstar could ever hope to for using his name in a game. Lame. Hahahaha!

Are you serious with thias article?
Timbaland has 2 multi platinum albums.
He's a millionaire
He's been producing songs for legends for years, and he still is.
He's already a superstar. Even Madonna herself had him produce alot of her shit.
