Rumor: British talk show host lending voice to Fable 3

British talk show gadabout Jonathan Ross let slip on his Twitter feed that he's lending his voice to none other than Fable 3. Writes Ross, "Goodnight all. Must go to bed. Got asked to do voice in Fable 3 tonight. Subarashi. Oyasuminasia. Woss out."

Now, it goes without saying that a follow-up to Joystiq's favorite game of 2008 will someday be made, but it seems far too early to be recording voices already. Still, could this latest remark mean that the sequel is further along than we dare hoped? Microsoft has offered no comment. However, Ross' following tweets read like mild psychosis mixed with a panic attack; Molyneux and his goon squad are not to be trifled with.

There's an a in the wrong place (not the same as your version incidentally). As they say, i before a except after oyasuminas.

I think this may be what's known in the trade as a 'typo'.

This is what I was thinking, probably just new DLC. And if they're getting someone as famous as Jonathon Ross to do voice overs, hopefully it'll be slightly more substantial than Knothole Island.

I believe he's done some (very minor) voice acting for a few other games. I think he did a marine in Halo 3.

Just because he's involved doesn't mean it has a huge budget. The BBC might pay him a lot, but he seems to also enjoy doing a lot of stuff simply for the fun of it.

Wow, have they said anything else on more DLC for Fable II??? I'd really be up for that, as I loved Knothole Island.

Guess I was kind of figuring they'd go the route of ME DLC, one and done. :(

That's what I was thinking. If Charlie Brooker's lending his voice to Fable 3, I'll buy a 360 on launch day, and soak up his awesomeness as much as possible.

This would be the second game he's done voice work for, right? I think he also did some stuff for Halo 3.

Awesome, I like Jonathan Ross's voice... Would probably make a game voice... That's probably a bit weird, but who cares...

As for Fable 3... A guy from Lionhead came to our University last week to talk about their design and planning processes and such, and there were various clues about Fable 3's existence. The biggest were a Fable 3 logo, a Fable 3 page on the internal wiki they use to keep track of design stuff and a project schedule that quite clearly said Fable 3 at the top... So, yeah I think they're probably making it...

You won't be as rich as you might think... When I went back to play Knothole Island I got less than a million, and that was after about 4 months... I mean... That's a lot, but not that much considering I already had about 4 million...

I'm a huge fan of the game, but there are definately some bugs. Both myself and my flatmate have in fact completely broken the game. He was lucky doing so during the tutorial level (a glitch caused him to have one more coin than he needed and the game would no longer let him buy the device). Sadly, mine came during the DLC after I completed the main story arch, where in I can't escape a "scene" in which nothing is happening. The game acts like its in a cut scene (even after save/load) but it nothing happens, and you can't escape the area or interact with anything because you're "in a scene".

the second game was terrible, an insult to the first one, and the only game ive ever returned (i still have that first sonic the hedgehog 360 game, superman 64, and fuzion frenzy 2). lets hope that this time they release a game not filled with game breaking glitches and bugs.
