I couldn't help but notice that Ali's left nipple is bursting with puss.

Championship era Tyson had one of the most devastating punches the sport has ever seen. In my opinion, this fight would be a lot closer than you think.

and for the record...

Tyson's defense was..."impregnable," and he eats his opponent's children.

That's what I said earlier. Only EA would put Ali next to Tyson.

Then I had to laugh when someone defended EA by saying, "well they did pose next to each other."

Discotheque - holy shit you are stupid. Way to spout off the uninformed casual/clueless mainstream sports fan opinion, though.

Tyson in his prime was unstoppable. Maybe Ali would beat him, but if you think he'd "destroy" him you're fucking retarded. Ali never fought ANYONE with Tyson's credentials. Not Foreman, not Frazier.

I'm glad Joe Tessitore is doing the commentating. I'll have to see a full roster before I decide to buy it. If it had Y. Gamboa, J. Kirkland, A. Berto and P. Williams I'll get it but not just for the legends. I want a nice roster of modern fighters. I thought Fight Night Round 3 was pretty stale to be honest.

UFC Undisputed has me more excited at this point. At least in that game my boy can finally open up a can on Frenchie. No vaseline in this game Georges (kidding).

In case you haven't seen it yet here is the official website. Look at the character models and gameplay footage. I just hope it's technical and true to the sport.

I respect that opinion. I was just talking specifically about the new UFC game coming in a few months. I enjoy both sports quite a bit. Hey in fact I'm going to see Roy Jones fight Omar Sheika next Saturday!

What nonsense is this? Muhammad Ali getting jabbed by Tyson? Ali would obilerate Tyson in under a minute.

The fact that they put Tyson on the same line as Ali is an insult... really.

I do think that the natural brawler in Tyson would have evened the score against the technically superior Ali.

Putting Tyson against Ali isn't an insult. They both have their undisputed strengths.

Ali is the better boxer, but not necessarily (forgive spelling) the better fighter.

IMHO it would be a great match.

Now, who would win?

Rocky Balboa (young) or Rocky Marciano (forgive spelling).

Can't wait for this! Round 3 was the best (non-Punch Out!!) boxing game ever, and hopefully this will be even better. Let's do this.

Is it just me, or does it seem like a lot of those jabs being landed don't have any actual weight/force behind them? No head snap, nothing.

Also, I find it hilarious that EA needs to note this video is "All Actual Gameplay footage".

As if everyone can't immediately see the enormous drop-off from when they make a fake trailer to the real gameplay trailer.

Hopefully this is better than 3, and the boxers have figured out not to be eating cherry Jell-o in the middle of fights, so they're not spitting it out every time a punch lands.

They won't be now they they're using Burger King's spit absorbing burger that they eat before each fight, while they're driving to the venue in their shiny new Dodge Calibur!

They better not load it with filthy ads agin =(

The ads were horrible! The game was so pretty to watch and then you get distracted by a "BK open late" sign. Almost like watching a Spielberg movie!

EA has continually made massive improvements in Fight Night. As much as I hate EA, I'm salivating at the thought of playing this game with the added new "features" intense.

I had a lot of fun with Round 3 and I'm definitely picking this up. Playing Round 3 with my friends (not online), drinking beer and cursing the absolute dog shit out of each other and the TV are some of the best memories I have of summer '06.

Kids, kids, kids. Turn off that MTV and lets do some simple equations.

If Ali > Foreman (Foreman's prime).
if Holyfield > Tyson
if Moorer > Holyfield
if Foreman (at the age of 45) > Moorer

then Ali > Tyson

Nice try "pops," but fighting doesn't follow any fucking equations. That's why you see so-called upsets.

Come to think of it, it wasn't a nice try. Go play in traffic, dumbass.

George Foreman at his peak was unbelievable, yet Ali who basically didn't stand a chance beat him with brains. And by frustrating and tying up Tyson i reakon Ali would win on points.

Sorry kids but Tyson would have won not because he was a better boxer but because just like in every other sport over time the athletes are getting bigger and stronger. In the same way that Carl Lewis was the greatest sprinter of his time he would not be able to beat Usain Bolt. Jesse Owens would not have beaten Carl Lewis and so on.

Tyson had the most devastating punching power I have ever seen come from a boxer. I think, had Cus D'Amato (his original trainer and mentor) stayed alive, we'd be saying that Tyson was the "greatest of all time" rather than the shell of his former self he is nowadays.

yea, i totally agree with this statement. as well as daves above. As time goes on all the athletes and the level of perfection, size, speed, etc increases exponentially. Jim brown was a monster, but be honest with your self he couldnt run through a moden D-line like brandon jacobs can.

also cus was the only person in tysons life who ever kept him going mentally. When cus stopped being tysons mentor he collapsed mentally. He could have been great, but coulda shoulda woulda is great; because now we have them all in a game.

back on topic though, i hope they got rid of the stupid styles affecting punch attributes. How stupid was it that FNR3 eventually devolved in to judge jab vs sinister cross for the whole fight. Try and find a fight in round three that doesnt have ali vs jones or taylor vs jones
