First Bayonetta gameplay shots are hair-raising

What's niftier than a female action hero with guns on her feet? How about a heroine whose costume is actually her own hair. In fact, you can see her lengthy locks do their thang in this first glimpse of actual gameplay from Devil May Cry director Hideki Kamiya's very DMC-esque Bayonetta.

Specifically, we'd like to point your attention to the gallery image of the game's slinky starlet performing a magic-based attack. It seems that she needs most of her hair to pull this off, so she's left more or less naked during the process. We expected something even more over-the-top than DMC from Kamiya's new game; we just didn't think we'd be getting over-the-toplessness.

Being as DMC 1 was the best one, I bet this game will be awesomesauce!

Make it super difficult and keep it filled with tons of massive bosses and make everything as crazy as possible and this'll be my game of the year.

This director's kind of a 1 trick pony isn't he? I don't really see a need to play this as I pretty much already have. Quite a few times at that.

Did you mean to say full of shit? Of the 6 released games he's worked on, only ONE of them was a DMC game, which means Bayonetta is not like the majority of his games, so clearly he's hardly a one-trick pony.

If you had said "oh, this looks just like DMC." You'd be right, but you didn't, you said he was a one trick pony. So no, you're not still right, you're full of shit, and apparently too arrogant to admit when you're wrong.

It's not like one trick pony has degrees dude, it's binary either some is a one trick pony, or someone isn't. Likewise one is either entirely correct in calling someone a one trick pony (if they have only one trick) or entirely incorrect (if the person being called a one trick pony has more than one trick). Honestly you think there are degress to that? You think someone can *kind of* be a one trick pony? Wouldn't that be a limited-range-of-tricks pony?

Your attempts at deflection and misdirection are admirable, I'll give you that; misdirected and useless in this particular situation, but admirable nonetheless.

This next part seems to be the core of your confusion. This part has a little to do with the 1 trick pony comment, in that this game seems to be a direct copy of DMC. HOWEVER, even though we've established that he's NOT a 1 trick pony....and here's the main thing....

That doesn't change the fact that this is almost a direct copy of DMC.

There. No varying degrees of a 1 trick pony or whatever the hell you were saying up there. We're not cracking the Da Vinci code here or anything.

I have to admit that this little chain is entertaining and very funny. The whole one trick pony dialogue back and forth was just comedic genius. Just admit it guys ... your in cahoots.

I know it. I'm not even a fan of language. If one of my roommates has someone over, playing a game that swears nonstop feels immature as hell.

This is my fear with Madworld. I'm sure its as fun as everyone says it is, but those announcers in the clips I've seen have me wincing non-stop. I suppose it fits the over-the-top future reality TV extravaganza tone, but it still makes me slink down into my couch.

By the way Platinum Games is developing this title, so give it a chance. I think it looks fun. Basically DMC4 minus the emo and with some extra awesome. I mean gun shoes. Come one... GUN SHOES!

And it's more like Devil May Cry 4 if it had been directed by the guy who made the good Devil May Cry game.

I think the main character is just so annoying. Distractingly annoying, it might keep me from enjoying this game.

Dude, I cant wait to FINALLY have a Sarah Palin game! It's what I have been dreaming of every night, practically; carving through mountains of enemies with her hair and myriad guns.

PURE. AWESOME. I just hope it comes out for iPhone.
