You can add me on PSN, but I don't have Killzone 2 (didn't care for the demo/shot lag) and I'm getting RE5 on the 360. But maybe some LittleBigPlanet or VF5.

Hrm.. I may give Killzone 2 a shot then if they patched the atrocious 4-5 frame shot lag. My buddies are begging me to join them online for it.

Seriously? Shot lag? When you first played the game did you really think that it lagged? Or did you just think it felt different, and then after watching a few really quite silly Youtube videos decide that there was shot/input lag?

God.

@deadpool

Yes nearly every action had an unreasonable delay after each button press, the developers tried to play it off as a feature stating that the player just had "weight." Not only do I have a highspeed camera but I can output the live game feed to my capture card and count the frames that way.

Not so shocking. America sales will be different but we already know this just like we already knew this.

That means the 360 version will sell 7:1 over the PS3 version in the USA

Devil may cry 4 on the PS3 also outsold the 360 one in America though just slightly. RE is mainly seen as a PS series. Sorry.

I wouldn't say it's a Sony series. Dreamcast, Wii, Xbox 360 have seen a version of the game.

Insight, et al: Move to a city where there are indy game shops that break the release dates and you'll be playing games early too.

I'm the only one of my friends who didn't honker down to Chinatown in NYC and buy this game over the weekend!

I'll bite on it...HARD

As if this is a fucking surprise....ps3 version outsells 360 is Japan! Quick call the media immediately!

I wonder if the 360 Bundle did anything? Is there a ps3 RE5 bundle?

Also as far as the game is concerned...AMAZING. Fuck the haters. RE is still a great series and Capcom should be proud of themselves for releasing a totally wicked game.

Bitch about the controls all you want. They ain't going no where. Bitch about the fact that it's got some action and some pacing to it as opposed to a slow pace. It's not going anywhere. The game still ups the ante and makes you feel scared and tense in a lot of different situations. Great storyline and great characters. Sheva is cool in my book.

I'm just really loving this game.

Man, I don't understand how you can bitch about, say, Killzone having bad controls (even though I'm 1000% positive you've never played it, especially since the PATCH that fixed up the controls) and then can turn around and defend these controls. You're officially krazy.

I'mma open my dictionary, scratch out the definition of 'hypocrite', and then just scribble in the assorted names you've adopted over the last month or so.

...would there be enough room for that?

People have gotten games earlier before...in fact on this very website multiple people have commented on the various chapters.

Also regarding the controls..they have barely changed. They're exactly like Resident Evil 4 dumbass.

So that destroys that argument....

"People have gotten games earlier before...in fact on this very website multiple people have commented on the various chapters."

It's still difficult to believe, especially with your history of judging games and acting like you know what they're like without having played them.

"Also regarding the controls..they have barely changed. They're exactly like Resident Evil 4 dumbass. So that destroys that argument...."

#1 - No, they're not... did you even play the demo?
#2 - Slow and precise may have worked for RE4, but from what I'm hearing from just about everyone who's played the final product, keeping those controls in a game with many, many more zombies (who happen to be both smarter and angrier than ever before) doesn't work out well. As has been said before, survival horror controls don't work well in an action game. It's as easy as that.

Do yourself a favor - don't go around talking about 'destroying arguments', because you offer weaker ones than any other commenter on this site.

Yeah, people have gotten games early. Do you have any proof that you got the game early, or are you just spouting garbage as usual? Basically, what I'm hearing here is that you have pretty hardcore double standards - you'll bash any game that you happen to not be into, or any PS3 game for that matter, for even the slightest little problems (even long after those problems have been patched up), yet you'll turn around and call games rife with problems *amazing* (Gears 2, anyone?) or defend controls that just don't plain work with the game.

Xta said it best - I can't recall the last time you destroyed anything, except for my faith in humanity.

Dunno bout this guy but, here (Argentina) for example, we get simoultaneous releases with MANY games. To release a game the same day that USA does, u need of course, to have the game a few days earlier (LBP was a good example, i had it 1 week before launch, 2 weeks before servers were up :D).

RE5 was here on 11th, the box that they sent to the retail had a huge sticker that stated clearly that the game should be sold on Release Date and blah blah. So its is possible to get games earlier, at least here :)

So when the RE5 players game online, the American PS3 owners will mostly have Japanese to play with and the Japanese who bought the 360 version will mostly have Americans to play with? : )

PS3 owners will be able to play with most of the world because there aren't any region restrictions.

I don't know about Xbox 360. I was under the impression that Live IS region locked but I'm probably wrong.

North America sales Day 1 will QUADRUPLE that #.

Those Japanese really are a lot more technically savvy than the majority of Westerners.

They're not tricked by a low price and a flashy advert, and know the value of forward moving technology.

4:1 - 4 Smart people to 1 stupid person, it's pretty much the opposite over here.

This is in stark contrast to how many copies of Gears of War 2 sold to a few moms and grandparents who bought it for the PS3!
