Vin Diesel reveals his dream game, Barca BC

The Dies (as he insists we call him) told Destructoid he has been working for three years on Barca BC, a "massively multiplayer online game where you create an avatar that lives in the reality of Hannibal Barca, the Punic Wars and life in 200 B.C." Yes, it sounds awesome (especially if all the avatars are Vin Diesel with different haircuts, clothing, genders, etc.) but Vin says it's still a few years out. Oh, the future, will you never get here?

Damn, this game sounds excellent.
At least it's something different than the generic fantasy MMOs that every idiotic developer out there keeps trying to do.
Hint: WoW owns the fantasy space. Try something else.

Wow... that's... uhh, that's... actually pretty cool. I don't irrationally hate Vin Diesel, but I'm still surprised that anyone would have a new and unique idea for anything really, and that of all people it would be him. Well done Vin Diesel, well done.
And think about this: Set in 200 B.C., so around the 3rd expansion pack, you could be a level 70 Savior! Revive team members, walk on water, move mountains, call forth zombies to destroy your enemies!

Why does vin deisel, of all people, seem to have more original ideas about video games than most game developers???
History seems an awesome place for MMOs to go to avoid the WoW effect.
Total war as a MMO... romans vs samurai vs spartans vs king arthur.... or whatever..

I'd prefer a Wild West MMO or maybe even an old Chinese Empire MMO, but this will do just fine. I hear sombre horns just thinking about it.
If you can die from starvation, dehydration, poor hygiene, or cold, and character death is a little more.. irreversible, day one sale. :P
