Fable, Alien Hominid HD get slashed for March Deals of the Week

It's only because Peter promised Fable 2 when making Fable 1. There's some obvious generation-decay, but it's a good game in it's own right.

It will also give you a much deeper insight into the story of Fable 2...especially another reason to hate fucking Reaver!

I played through it twice. It was very similar, in fact I enjoyed the combat better in the first. Fable and KOTOR are the only two xbox games I still own.

Most people who didn't like the first fable were people who were expecting PM & Co to deliver on all of his over-the-top promises. At the time no one was really aware of what a hype machine windbag he could be; so when the final game came out and contained only a fraction of what had been discussed... some people were sorely dissapointed. Most Xbox fanboys had been eagerly following the development since before the original Xbox even dropped, so there was a lot of pent up hopes that were just crushed...

That being said, for those of us that took the game on it's own merits, found it quite enjoyable. I would imagine without years of hype and anticiaption behind you, you should be able to enjoy the game for what it is. Everything they did in the game, they did quite well.

Fable 1 was awesome. But don't bother getting it from MS's crappy Xbox Originals. You could find it cheaper, and get the one with extra content.

Yes. Get Lost Chapters which basically adds a shit load of features and extra 3 hours of story after the original Fable ends.

I've enjoyed Fable 1 a lot more than Fable 2. I think I like the setting and some of the usability options in it more. Both games are good, but I've played through fable 1 (and lost chapters) like 8 times. I wasn't around to see any of thie Peter hype though.

It was released more than 2 years ago, Feb 2007... I suspect the damage to sales of the game over the next 2 weeks won't be significant.

If you're so cheap, then why don't you just play the game for free as it was originally released on the PC? Seriously. Same game, cheaper price.

I take it you've never played a console port of the game then? Seriously not the same game... there's been a lot of spit and polish applied to the console version. The original flash game was, for all intents and purposes, a prototype.

Wouldn't have a clue, tho i would love the PC version to hit Steam!
