I've been saying for awhile that all systems could benefit from a motion sensing controller with this game. Sell it as an add-on (for Xbox, PS3) EA, you nickle-n-dime bastards.

I would think that you need the right amount of length and weight to make it feel right. Otherwise, that short little wiimote will feel out of touch. So you would need a fake, plastic club with roughly the same weight and feel to make it work.

Still, I am intrigued by what EA is doing with the motion+.

I could see golf enthusiasts buying this up in droves, if its marketed properly. I mean, its a virtual driving range in your home.

Hopefully there will be some way to create a true simulator for golf enthusiasts willing to fork over the cash. If you could attach the MotionPlus to an actual golf club and hit an actual ball whose position exactly corresponded to the ball in the game, THAT would be an amazing combination. I might even try that.

Ideally (from a marketing point of view), the game will be really fun and challenging without a complete simulation experience, but absolutely incredible and more true-to-life if you're willing to upgrade. Create a great experience for the novice, get them enthusiastic and addicted, and then provide an extremely tempting upgrade path.

The fact that you're not swinging an actual club would actually hurt your golf game. The fact that I am a golfer is stopping me from buying this. In other news, Wii Sports: Bowling dropped my friend's average score in real life bowling. He was pretty mad.

Unless it really feels like golf then I will not even come close to trying this game. Tiger Woods '09 was probably the worst game I have played in the past year. Reviewers said how good of a game it was with motion controls, how much like real golf it was. I guess nobody that played the game ever really played golf.

Flicking the analog stick on a controller felt more natural than the Wii controls. I wish they would just pack the game with a trackball and be done with it.

Trackball? Is that something the pros use?

Sorry, I was trying to read your post and it was so light I almost thought you wrote trackball... That would be silly!

If I liked Golf, I'd get this. In fact, if it's good and is nearly as fun as Wii Sports Golf, I'll get this.

This will be the first sports or Golf game I'll be buying since Tiger Woods '04. Mark my words If enough devs use this and Eveyone properly markets this we will see a second golden era for the Wii (sales wise).

It's bundled with Wii Sports Resort, and nobody knows that date.

Tiger Woods 10 on Wii makes 360 and PS3 versions obsolete.

*shivers* I just had flash backs to crowd testing on an earlier version of Tiger Woods that I worked on. All those networks of individual models wandering all over the place. There were SOOOoo many bugs. When the game was finally released, there were no complaints about crowd issues, so I guess we caught enough of them =D.

I'm surprised that they've implemented crowds in the 'last gen' version now. That used to be touted as a next-gen feature.

Guess we'll have to wait until Woods 11 to get Wii Speak compatibility?
