The debut of Dawn of War II and F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin did little to hold back the mighty power of the Lich King. NPD has released a list of February's top 20 selling PC games at US retail and, per usual, the World of Warcraft and The Sims 2 are a significant presence.
Just to give an idea of how significant WoW and Sims 2 are in the PC space, nine out of the 20 titles on the list are held by some SKU of those franchises. Check out the full list after the break.
February's top titles:
1. World Of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King - Blizzard
2. The Sims 2 Double Deluxe - Electronic Arts
3. Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Relic/THQ
4. World Of Warcraft: Battle Chest - Blizzard
5. F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin - Monolith/Warner Bros. Interactive
6. Spore - Electronic Arts
7. World Of Warcraft - Blizzard
8. The Sims 2 Apartment Life - Electronic Arts
9. Fallout 3- Bethesda Softworks
10. World Of Warcraft: Burning Crusade - Blizzard
11. Call Of Duty: World At War - Activision
12. Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 - Electronic Arts
13. Left 4 Dead - EA/Valve
14. The Sims 2 Deluxe - Electronic Arts
15. Civilization IV - Firaxis/2K Games
16. The Sims 2 Mansion & Garden Stuff - Electronic Arts
17. StarCraft Battle Chest - Blizzard
18. Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack - Electronic Arts
19. Diablo Battle Chest - Blizzard.
20. The Sims 2 Pets - Electronic Arts

Longhorn4Life,
Joystiq already regularly posts the NPD figures for consoles (better known as our technological sloppy seconds) as they come out and they also post NPD figures as they come out for our platform. Now why don't you go back to oggling over a FPS shooter that's been visually and technically outshined by the PC nearly two years before it was released or go buy DLC that should've been included in any number of your games from the very beginning.

Are you aware that everything you're playing on your dumb shit consoles is developped on a PC? This means that every game you play is essentially a PC game.
With that in mind, are you seriously trying to tell me: "Consoles > PC"? LOL!
Go back to your 360 or PS3 and buy your 10$ DLC while I get it for free. Go pay 10$ for features that were planned to be part of the full game. Publisher only charge for DLC because they know people like you will buy it, we PC gamers will find it for free even if they do try to charge us for it.
PC Gamers > Console Gamers

Do you have any idea what you have just started? Seriously, Don't piss off the PC gamers. Our PCs run circles around your consoles and we know it, 1080p is NOTHING.

ALL of you fanatics, not just the console ones, need to be taken out back and put out of your misery. This is what you choose to argue about? Pathetic. You guys give ALL gamers a bad name.

I cannot play a game such as WoW and not have an ending. By the looks of the graphics and gameplay, it just looks outdated and boring.

"Out dated" as it may be, WOW is still FUN & that's what counts most! It's easy to play without being a snooze fest.
Plus, I presume that the SOCIAL aspect is a big draw as well.
I also seriously doubt WOW will stay "out dated" forever. Blizzard isn't stupid & I figure they'll release a truly updated WOW when the time is right.

I wish we could see this with Steam (and other) sales factored in. Don't most PC gamers go digital nowadays?

You really should get Dawn of War II. Some parts can be repetitive (defending foundries or relays) but it oddly never gets old and it's one of the few games I've played that sucks you in for at least 4 hours at a time. If you've completed some of the main missions, you'll do the optional ones in order to procure better war gear or to level up. Seriously, it's impossible to just play one mission especially when some of your squads get their hands on terminator armor or when you finally get a Dreadnaught.

This is an indication of nothing other than the types of gamers still purchasing PC games in boxes.
