Much like they did with Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, Madden, Crysis, Rock Band, Battlefield, Spore, Burnout Paradise, Skate, Command & Conquer: Tibsun, Command & Conquer: RA, Boom Blox, Left 4 Dead on Xbox 360, Medal of Honor Heroes 2, Mass Effect, NBA Live, Need For Speed: Shift, and The Sims right?

I hate when people insinuate that publishers are the developers.

You tell Anderson Silva that MMA is wrestling with kicks and see how that goes.

The THQ game is looking really good and true to the sport. If EA is interested in MMA they need to call up Scott Coker and make a Strikeforce game or possibly an Affliction game. It doesn't have the name recognition of the UFC but it is the next best MMA brand (Strikeforce) on the planet right now. Besides, what Yuke's Osaka is doing with UFC Undisputed is looking like the best we have ever seen in terms of realistic facial models and getting the fighting done right. This game could single handedly save THQ and propel them into and beyond the stratosphere.

Anyone who hasn't already done so needs to go look at the official website http://www.ufcundisputed.com/#/home and check out the gameplay, character models and presentation. It's looking beyond amazing.

I'm just trying to think about it and the only organizations that make sense for EA to make an MMA game after are either:

Strikeforce
Affliction
Dream
The now defunct Pride (owned by Zuffa who owns the UFC)
W.E.C. (owned by Zuffa who owns the UFC)

and then the smaller promotions. I guess they could do K-1 but thats more of hardcore kickboxing than MMA.

Good call on the Strikeforce game. I want to kick Frank Shamrock's head off with Cung Le!

EA can do anything right if they put their mind & money to it, just look at how much fifa has come along in the past few years, it's overtaken pes as the must own footy game! UFC needs to be where EA goes if it does MMA as they have the exposure to sell these games and the fanbase that goes with it, alot of the other smaller MMA promotions don't.

If EA wanted to they could easily snap ip the rights to TNA and develop a top notch game which would shift a fair few copies or even get WWE out of it's contract with THQ as the Smackdown games could do with a complete revamp and a fresh take to help keep fans interested,

But what about the extreme violence and blood? they won't get a good "everyone" rating if they go down that road, and all the people that enjoy those shows are there for the blood.

Maybe if everyone asks their parents to buy it fort hem they can keep up with Madden sale numbers.

"and all the people that enjoy those shows are there for the blood."

To be fair you have somewhat of a valid point. I was ready to jump all over you but like I said you're right, a lot of people do go in thinking about blood baths but in reality its the most beautiful sport in the world. A sport that combines the best of each martial art, boxing and wrestling. These guys in the sport are world class athletes that have to train year round in several arts and techniques (not just one like boxing) all while having to keep the proper weight and nutrition down. UFC tests all their fighters after every show so Steroids and such aren't a huge problem.

I see absolutely no problem with EA doing an MMA game without UFC fighters. Strikeforce will be on its way up and theres a ton of great talent out there as well as in other promotions. Why not work with everyone else instead of just one like THQ/UFC did? Babalu, Fedor, Aoki, Eddie Alvarez, Josh Thompson, Diaz, Jake Shields, Arlovski, Barnett, Gilbert Melendez, Vitor Belfort, Overeem, CroCop, Tito Ortiz, King Mo Lawal, Lil Nog, Cung le, Gina Carano, Cyborg, Jay Heiron, Mayhem Miller, Robbie Lawler, etc. theres a ton.

By the end of this year EA will have plenty of recongnizable fighters in a game thanks in part to Strikeforces new TV deal. DO WANT AND CAN'T WAIT! It'd be nice if they also picked up the UFC license and did a yearly MMA game and UFC game. I doubt UFC will let them put their fighters in another game with a competing Promoters fighters so thats why I say 2 seperate games.

If there are any MMA n00bs out there who wanna get into watching MMA a good starter show would be The Ultimate Fighter on Spike. The new season of TUF: USA vs. UK starts on April 1 and prior to it Spike will be airing UFC Fight Night: Condit vs Kampmann for free.

BTW, theres always some MMA on TV!

UFC Unleashed - Spike (Tues, Wed's 8pm ET)
UFC Fight Nights - Spike (Dates are usually announced during UFC Unleashed)
UFC's The Ultimate Fighter reality show - Spike (10pm ET)
Strikeforce - Will start to air on Showtime (April 11) and on CBS on Saturdays soon
Affliction - HDNet and PPV (An MMA Co with partners Trump and Goldenboy)
WEC - On Versus (VS) Channel (lightweight action) Owned by Zuffa just like UFC
Dream - HDNet (Japanese MMA org) Very interseting promotion, crazy stuff
Sengoku - HDNet (Also a Japanese MMA org)
Inside MMA - HDNet (MMA Highlight and analysis show every Friday 9pm ET)
MMA Live - ESPNs own MMA Highlight and analysis show Every Thurs 3pm ET espn.com under videos)
