I should really pick up Trace Memory. I didn't buy it before because I heard it was too short, but it's really cheap now.

I bought it when I was on vacation one time a cuppla years ago and actually enjoyed it quite a bit. It might be a bit 'dated' I suppose but I definitely liked it. It's not short, but it most definitely isn't long either. A Wii sequel could be interesting... And in case you do pick it up for DS-

One of the solutions to one of the puzzles is opening and closing the DS, which annoyed the hell out of me because I couldn't figure it out until I got back home to cheat online :P

There was something like that in Hotel Dusk, which I enjoyed. Also by Cing, which is why I'm interested in Another Code. :P

Another Code: 2 Memories - 8 Hours
Hotel Dusk: Room 215 - 16 hours
Another Code R: Gateway of Memory - 27 Hours

I'm not kidding you, 27 hours. I looked at my finishing time for the Japanese version and could hardly believe it.

The Japanese version was fun anyway. A lot of the dialogue in the game is boring, but you'll be rewarded -- oddly enough -- by the game's side story about Ashley's mother. Puzzles make good use of the Wii's motion controls and there's plenty of them for you to find. I'm currently replaying to see if there's an extra puzzle at the end of a replay save like there is in Another Code, not holding my breath though.

With Another Code R and Disaster: Day of Crisis, I'm coming to envy those in NOE territories. NOE seems much more open-minded and willing to let gamers try out and decide for themselves what they, unlike NOA who has been declining games that were published by Nintendo of Japan.

New games, except now they will cost £20 more in England due to a gree...I mean, a weakening pound.

Ok, now I'm REALLY pissed. If it ends up that both Japan and Europe get Another Code R and America doesn't, I'm movin' to London.

Trace Memory is one of my all-time favorite games, and Another Code R looks fantastic; I'm dying to play it. This is totally unfair >:(

I finished Another Code R a couple of weeks ago. I believe it took me around 23 hours. I never played the first one (on DS), so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. I thought it would be an adventure game. In fact, it's advertised as an adventure game. It felt much more like an interactive novel to me, though. LOTS of dialog. Tons and tons of dialog. And, not particularly intriguing dialog.

The puzzles were simple, almost to the point of being a chore to complete. I kept expecting the puzzle difficulty to increase as the game progressed, but it wasn't happening. Right up until the final chapter. Then, suddenly, a couple of hard puzzles popped up toward the end. It was so frustrating, because the change didn't come gradually, but all at once. BAM. After 20 hours of tedius puzzles and mind-numbing dialog, I wasn't in any mood to try thinking through a tough puzzle; I just wanted the (very predictable) story to be over.

I think most adults would find the story uninteresting.

I really wanted to like this game. It isn't without its charm, and the production values are above average and sufficient for the genre. But I can't recommend it, because it simply wasn't fun.

Oh, did I mention all the dialog?

Wow, in the time it took me to write that, several Trace Memory fans commented. I didn't realize that game had such a following. Maybe I should prepare for a drubbing ... ?

I love dialogue. Did you play and enjoy Another Code for the DS? And also I have no idea what a drubbing is but I hope you get a lot of it.

Trace Memory wasn't the greatest adventure game, but it had a few really cool uses of the DS tech that made my jaw ... well, not drop, but certainly lower significantly ... and for that reason I'm definitely going to want some Trace Memory 2 action. Hopefully if it's being localized for Europe, they'll probably be bringing it to the U.S. as well.

Sweet, loved Another Code for the DS can't wait for the Wii version. Although, it's unfortunate I'll have to play the American localised version.

On one hand, Nintendo of Europe has taken to releasing games before Nintendo of America nowadays, so we silly Americans might get this game later this year.

On the other hand, I can't get my hopes up about that. I wonder how I need to mod my American Wii to play European games...

Not mod, Homebrew Channel. Quick, easy, and all software-side. All you need is a copy of Twilight Princess, and off you go.

And by that, I mean I'll sulk in the corner...

I'm sure Wii Sports Resort will be delayed. We should've seen this coming, as Nintendo has only posted screenshots of 3 (of the supposedly 10?!?) of the games in it: sword fightin', wave-runnin', and frisbee-doggin'.

Heck, we don't even know the NAMES of the other games in WSR, do we?

Not a good sign.

My guess: it'll be the big Christmas release, unfortunately.

I really hope Another Code R makes it over to North America. I enjoyed the DS game, so I'd be willing to play the sequel on the Wii, even though I'm more of a handheld gamer.
