Echoing this, Capcom noted that the demo has also been downloaded over 4 million times since it was released. The latest adventure in Capcom's long-running series has been gaining some impressive, if predictable traction among reviewers. However, as you may have read (or heard), the experience is not without its problems, even if we can't quit staring at Chris Redfield's impressive guns.
Resident Evil 5 ships 4 million copies worldwide

Capcom this morning gave a hearty "Thanks, partner!" to its recently-shipped Resident Evil 5. According to the company, the survival horror action game has already shipped more than 4 million copies worldwide since March 5, when it first infected Japanese retail shelves. Granted, this figure just represents copies shipped, not sold, though we're sure those numbers are in a barrel around here somewhere.

Looks like Chris has tickets to the "GUN SHOW"!!
Hahahaha. I should feel dirty for making that pun, but oddly, I do not.

Can people stop ragging on RE5 already? Jesus seems like everyone and their grandmother have 100 negative things to say about it. It is a good game. It has it's share of faults, and it doesn't live up to the expectations set by Resident Evil 4, but that's a tough act to follow. People need to ease up. And don't even get me started on the whole "racism" thing.

I've been playing this alot since Friday, and seemingly enjoying this more than KZ2 (I think that's b/c I'm getting my ass rocked on veteran difficulty), but anyhow, RE5 has alot of things going for it:
1) It's beautiful
2) A.I. is acceptable (once armed with a souped up pistol)
3) Co-op is alot of wild fun; mics aren't even really needed if your buddy is smart
It has its downsides of course:
1) Not digging the single save slot (in a way this prevents obsessing over item micro-management/hoarding, but it makes experimentation a nuisance)
2) Item management has taken a hit; it's faster having the 9 slots, but there should be an option to use items on the fly when they can't fit into the inventory, plus there doesn't appear to be an option to increase slot # (there might be, I don't know, but I'm already almost at the end)
3) Miss the presence of the Merchant

It's a pretty good game, though I'm starting to see what everyone's talking about in regards to its multiple personalities.
