The headline misled me. I thought I was finally getting a wireless Gamecube controller for long distance Smashing.

No I refuse to Smash without rumble.

But now that I think about it, an adapter wouldn't help since the classic doesn't rumble anyway. All hope is lost. Ebay, here i come.

Rumble is ancient, old-school, and adds barely anything to a game. When it first came out on the N64, everyone was like OMG rumble, and i thought it was cool for about 2 months. I can't think of a single game where i was like 'hey, it's cool that it rumbles here' except for in some RPGs when a huge boss approaches (or an earthquake) and the rumbling goes ape-shit. Not buying a Wavebird cause it lacks rumble has got to be the dumbest thing i have heard all year thus far.

@Foetoid:

B-but, but how will you find secrets in Ocarina of Time without rumble?

@Foetoid

So you're telling me to leave the old-school in the past, and buy a last-gen controller? Really?

There are already a couple wireless GameCube controllers with rumble on the market.

The Thrustmaster Wireless NW has a more traditional controller layout like the classic controller.

Pelican's G3 has the original GameCube button design and layout.

Both are $20.

If it fits into the Wii gamecube controller slot, won't it work in the Gamecube controller slot? I never had a chance to get a Gamecube Gameboy controller from Hori and there is no way I am paying the aftermarket price for one.

I just wonder if it would work. I don't see why not.

Probably, since it says "for GC/Wii" on the box.

I actually bought this a month ago, it's really great, BUT!!! The lead is very, very short, so you might wanna get a Gamecube lead extender...

Now can we please have an adapter that will allow us to use our old N64 controllers on virtual console N64 games?

Thanks!

Shame I didn't find out about this before I bought the PS-Gamecube adapter off Ebay. Now I'm thinking about the pro controller for the superior grips and shoulder button config; hopefully that will be cheaper than the SNES Classic!

Yay! My submission got posted! Now I can die happy...

I was mostly thinking of picking this up for playing the MegaMan X and Sonic collection disks. I've seen pictures though, and like kris.barratt said, the cord is pretty short. I've already got extension cords, myself, so I should be all set. :)
